Friendly and comfortable

We had a very enjoyable afternoon tea with our kids, who enjoyed running around the garden! The staff are friendly and accommodating and it's a great for home baking!

Very good food and warm staff. At last a menu with a bit of imagination and reasonably priced into the bargain.

Amazing meal in a fantastic atmosphere! We had 10 people in our party on a Friday eve. The service was fast and friendly and food was great! Such choice...we had everything on the menu and we all swapped and shared, making for a really relaxed friendly atmosphere. Staff are so attentive and nothing is too much trouble.Recommended

We had two visits with a toddler who enjoyed the play corner very much. Such a great idea, especially for rainy days. The staff were most helpful and the atmosphere was very relaxed, great with an active toddler. Also loved the wood burner. We loved the home baking, Stornaway black pudding rolls and the home made quiche. Will definitely return.... More

This cafe is well worth a visit. Interesting menu - we chose black pudding on a round of goat's cheese sandwiched with caramelised onion, served with lovely wholemeal bread and a salad. Delicious! Ice cream another day was whisky and oatmeal flavour. Also we had a light lunch of smoked salmon and cream cheese in a soft roll with salad.... More

We have visited before and enjoyed. This time we went twice in two days. The welcome is second to none, and very friendly. The bright white and blue colour scheme with cheery bunting is great and the menu and food are just what you need for lunch or a coffee stop. Recommend.

We arrived in cold, wet weather with a baby and a toddler. The welcome was warm, friendly and enthusiastic. Grandparents, mum and dad and children were offered the Snug with table, settee, toys and a carefully guarded log-burner. This was ideal as it provided a relaxed environment for us all. Food was first rate and service second to none. A... More

Stopped in for a warming cuppa on an extremely cold spring day. Sat in a lovely wee room with comfy couch and roaring log-burner. Very welcoming, chatty but not intrusive, staff. Had the best scone I've had in years and when I complimented the baker she came out for a chat and ended up giving me the recipe which I've... More
