Doesn't look much from the outside, and not especially easy to find - just past a staggered junction between Tighnabruich and the ferry terminal. But worth searching out. Simple menu, but lovely stuff, clearly home cooked.

Had lunch here . Called in with dog but dogs not allowed inside. Fortunately weather was good so sat outside and had lunch. Tuna mayo sandwich , a quiche well presented and enjoyable , then my wife had a chocolate chip scone with Nutella cream scone which she said was orgasmic, her words as good would not do it justice.... We spotted this place en route home from a holiday, in miserable weather, didn't look like it would be much from the signs but I insisted on investigating - so pleased we went! I liked the style of this little café/restaurant/shop so much I'd like to make my house look just like it....well, actually, I'd quite like to move in... More

Stopped for some lunch and found a delightful little place.. Great building with interesting info on local history.. Children and wheelchair friendly. 3 different areas to sit, each with its own identity. Menu was simple but excellent quality. Staff were very pleasant. We'll worth a visit. Check opening hours before going

Lovely coffee shop with very friendly staff ... the chic chip scones with Nutella cream were amazing! Going back for lunch tomorrow before we have to head home!

Popped in twice for a morning snack. The coffee was lovely, the fruit scone stuffed with strawberry jam and cream was delicious and the freshly made sausage & bacon roll was great. Staff were welcoming and chatty. The lunch menu looked lovely but time was against us on this visit to the area. We'll be back!

Friendly, welcoming staff. Fresh, quality, well presented food. Good value for money. Second visit to this lovely wee family restaurant & looking forward to coming back. The ploughman's is unbelievably good.

This is a lovely diversion from the travel along the peninsula and a great spot for light lunch or tea. The menu is short with emphasis on home baking and there is a list of specials which changes regularly. There is a selection of usual sandwiches but the strengths are the cakes: on the day we visit there was a... More

Fell upon this lovely cafe by chance after walking the first part of the Cowal Way from Portavadie last week. We had muddy and wet feet, so it was a delight to find such a lovely place to eat. Friendly welcome and we enjoyed the home made chicken, spinach and potato soup, followed by a great freshly made asparagus and... More
