Do not pass by!

We have an annual charity cycle to Oban from Glasgow and this was our 10th year. Each year we stop at the Robin's Nest just to sample the outstanding food. It is always busy so it's best to try and miss the peak dining period. In Taynuilt you have to turn right off the main road to find it in... read more

We always stop for coffee and cake here if we are in the area, going to Oban or Mull. Very cosy little cafe with the most wonderful home baked cakes, bread, scones and shortbread. Very friendly staff and very clean. The baking is done on the premises. You can also get soup or sandwiches for a light lunch. Open 10am... More

A few stops stand out in all our travels and this is one of them... the home baked pastries, the highland food, the service with a smile. The owner took our notes and called to make sure we had a ride to the self service accommodations we had.. and every day we ate there was a treat. Thank you so... More

We have been to this tea room on several occasions now and make a point of going there whenever we are in the area. The cakes here are simply delicious and the difficulty is in making a decision on what to have. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this establishment.

A trip to this part of the world is not complete without (several) stops at this wonderful eating place. The food, including the very moreish, cakes and scones are all made freshly on the premises. The soups are delicious and original. Would highly recommend but would go on a diet beforehand. The owner and staff are also very friendly and... More

Whilst waiting for the Loch Etive cruise we decided to try these lovely tea rooms. What a treat! We had the home made lentil soup, which was delicious and we also tried the dumpling loaf and date slice. Both were tasty, home baking at its best. The waitress was friendly but not fussy and we left satisfied and glad our... More
