Amazing, to look at it you would not expect the imaginative food we had, beautifully and freshly cooked, wonderful!

First came here to ask for directions to a local house and found the place seemingly deserted. Eventually I found an old lady who patrionised me in a rather snooty manner. Despite this, my family and friends returned after a local walk for some coffee. A coffee and cakes for four adults took around 20 minutes to arrive. One woman... More

Tucked away down a quiet lane is this homely centre. Surrounded by beautiful scenery and given a warm welcome by the hosts we enjoyed home cooking using fresh ingredients with a helpful cook able to cater for my food intolerances. If your passion is crafts there is an excellent shop with genuine hand produced articles and all manner of all... More

Not a good experience unfortunately and we have been pretty loyal for 4 years. Today was the worst and we won't go back again this holiday. Poor service and not good enough food for what should be a home from home good food place to visit. I asked for a scone to take away. "We only have one left and... More

The meal we had was a totally unexpected pleasure. It wouldn't have been out of place in the finest restaurant. in a big city. It's small, and the same person takes the order, does the cooking and serves the food! On a cold, damp night the woodburning stove did a great job of keeping us warm..

Wonderfully eccentric place. The menu was literally handwritten in biro by the warmly welcoming host as we sipped excellent Glenfidden Standard bitter (Dark Beer). I had the brazed beef in dark heather gravy and it was delicious. Warm bread rolls and courteous welcoming staff all made this most pleasant. Perfectly located for walkers or judging by the strapping Kayaking lads... More

We've been visiting the Ariundle Centre now for 9 years and are looking forward to eating there again this summer. Kate and her team are so friendly and welcoming, and in all our holidays spent in the Strontian area whenever we visit the Ariundle Centre it feels like coming home. The food is wonderful and even with our fussy eater... More

Hidden gem and could hardly believe our luck that it was open until 2100hrs. Fantastic location and some great walks nearby. Just as well , given the generous helpings of homemade soup, warm bread rolls and amazing range of home made cakes . The staff were friendly and made us feel welcome, despite us dripping wet walking gear everywhere. We... More

We were drawn in for some restbite from a bitter wind and heavy rain. The friendly service and log burner were just what we needed. An old school desk, stool and toys kept our son occupied while we enjoyed a fantastic slice of rocky road. Unfortunately the deluxe hot chocolate was a bit of a let down and the late... More

We ate here on a very wet and windy lunchtime in late October. The log burner struggled to lift the temperature but the food and the welcome helped lift the spirits. The soup was warming and definitely not from a packet. Tea (leaf not bagged) was served in china cups and saucers and was very much appreciated. the food was... More
