Hearty lunch

Stumbled in for late lunch after a "moist" walk. Food was okay, soup good and hearty, kids enjoyed the toasties. Buckets of tea. Service was friendly, but I'd hate to go there when it's busy!

Was so disappointed after visiting here with my sister for lunch. The premises were abysmal, filthy toilets & the service was atrocious, very chaotic & unprofessional staff. The food was below par & I would recommend anywhere to eat or drink but here. If I was offered a free meal, I would decline - do yourself a favour & avoid... More

How do I rate the Ariundle Centre? Four of us arrived late one Sat evening. To be honest we were delighted to be told that at 8 50pm we would be served dinner! With one waitress the place was a bit chaotic. One of our party made a polite comment to what must have been the owner who came out... More

This restaurant, which is in a youth hostel of all things, is a little gem you would never find unless recommended by someone. The food was superb - excellent local produce including smoked salmon, venison and lamb - all cooked with lots of imagination and flair. It was so good that we went back the following night at very short... More

Went in for a spot of lunch it is not a restaurant by any means, I was served by a disheveled old lady who looked like she should have had a shower sometime that week I ordered the lamb casserole and jacket potato 20 mins later a jacket potato with some lamb casserole tipped on top no butter rip off... Waited 45 mins for a cheese and ham toasty, the ham was more fat than ham, the toasty was greasy and inedible, it was garnished with rotten grapes. The place itself was dirty and there was only one other customer in there. Real shame as this is a great spot and could be a thriving local hub. I have never... More

Lovely home cooked, fresh ingredients and tasty food. The staff were warm a and friendly and the setting in a beautiful wood. Will look forward to going back, especially the broccoli and blue cheese soup and the homemade chocolate profiteroles rolls

We ate at this lovely cafe during the Easter weekend, in April. The setting is beautiful and welcoming! There was a fire burning and the place felt just right. The service was very pleasant and we were made to feel comfortable straight away. Our son chose the smoked salmon and the special home made bread and chips. The smoked salmon... More

Went to this lovely little tea room for an evening meal on the last day of our family holiday. We were made most welcome by a dear& friendly lady & offered a varied menu which also catered for the youngsters with us. The service was excellent & the food delicious. Well worth a visit if you are ever in this... More
