Friendly service, good place for tea/coffee

This cafe is quite old fashioned but has a varied menu, freshly prepared food all at good value. It is somewhere I would stop off at again.

Called in for lunch we had the chicken curry I wasn't expecting an authentic Indian curry but what we had was a proper English/Scottish home made curry with sultanas in it was delicious we both thoroughly enjoyed it.

Lovely 1960s throwback cafe in the middle of nowhere. Good service, good food, great value for money and toe tapping 60s music to sing along to while drinking your tea. Give it a go. We would recommend to anyone.

Visited here twice on a short break to the Ardnamurchan peninsula once for coffee and cake and once for a lunch and on both occasions we were served with very good food and made feel welcome by the staff. As this is a remote location this was a very welcome refreshment stop. Would visit again and recommend.

Even the very tasty cakes couldn't hide the poor service. Visited a few times and found the staff ok but forgetting the basics of customer service. They spent too much time through the back in the kitchen. This meant waiting for too long to be served and watching many customers in the same position.

On the way to Portuairk Cottage we found this gem of a cafe. We could have been overcome with the hot weather at the end of September but sitting on the veranda having a lovely late breakfast was a great start to our holiday. People nearby were having the fish which looked beautiful. The guy behind the counter and serving... More

We popped in after stopping to use the village tourist information office and the wc. Glad we did. We both had the Irish Stew and while quite simple home cooked food it was very nice. Had a nice cake and cup of tea after as well. Was not too impressed with the lack of cold drinks to have though.

Dont drive by, call in. You won't be disappointed. Clean, extensive menu considering the quite remote location, friendly staff. I really enjoyed our hour there, thanks.
