Even the very tasty cakes couldn't hide the poor service. Visited a few times and found the staff ok but forgetting the basics of customer service. They spent too much time through the back in the kitchen. This meant waiting for too long to be served and watching many customers in the same position.

On the way to Portuairk Cottage we found this gem of a cafe. We could have been overcome with the hot weather at the end of September but sitting on the veranda having a lovely late breakfast was a great start to our holiday. People nearby were having the fish which looked beautiful. The guy behind the counter and serving... More

We popped in after stopping to use the village tourist information office and the wc. Glad we did. We both had the Irish Stew and while quite simple home cooked food it was very nice. Had a nice cake and cup of tea after as well. Was not too impressed with the lack of cold drinks to have though.

Dont drive by, call in. You won't be disappointed. Clean, extensive menu considering the quite remote location, friendly staff. I really enjoyed our hour there, thanks.

We had a family lunch here. A pleasant little cafe, however having ordered a chowder for lunch I was a little disappointed to receive a soup which bore little resemblance to a chowder and was fairly bland, accompanied by a bread roll which was still frozen in the centre. Our youngest, however, thoroughly enjoyed his pie beans and chips!

A cracking little place and the staff and food are excellent, whatever your needs nothing is ever to much bother if only there were more places like this

I really don't tend to write reviews but having visited this cafe at the weekend and many times during previous visits to Strontian, I feel that this cafe needed some praise for the brilliant experience I have had there. The food is tremendous and good value for money considering you are well off the beaten track at this point. It... More

Not a great deal of choice to be had around here for lunch time stops took a chance on this place, however wasn't too impressed I had a bacon and Brie ciabatta and the cheese seemed to be on the turn, the fish and chips my husband had were ok but the fish was a bit wet and made the... More
