Freshly cooked while you wait. we were queuing outside the door so that must say something! very good fish and chips would definitely return.

I had fish and chips two nights in a row while in Lochgilpead on a fishing trip on the 10th & 11th July 2015 it was amazing. The fish is freshly cooked while you wait, and there were people queuing outside the door so what does that tell you! They were so good that on my return on the 25th... More

We had amazing fish and chips from their chip shop. During my three month stay in Argyll I've had fish and chips here four times. Anyone stopping off here will not be disappointed, it's really, really good. I'm not so sure about the cafe they own next door. I went in there on my first visit but nobody came to... More

I recently went here with some of my friends for a coffee and cake. The service is poor I get the feeling they are not 100% confident with what they are doing and the prices are expensive.

The cafe may look a bit tired decor wise but was clean. It isn't the biggest cafe I've ever been in so if you have a lot of people in your party then you may have to visit elsewhere, although the waitress was happy to shuffle tables and seats to accommodate our family of five. The waitress was friendly, cheerful... More

Desperate for a coffee and lunch headed in here.70ish diner attached to a fish and chips shop.extremely limited menu,so settled for cake ,which was OK.Slow service, staff not to friendly.I have a feeling this is more a locals place. The portions looked enormous even for kids.Limited seating,no room for buggies or disabled and the toilets although cleanish had very, very wet floors Perhaps... Had a takeaway from here last week, everything cooked freshly for you, and with some of the best chips I've had in ages. Really tasty, and properly browned rather than the insipid pale offerings so common now. Portion size is good, and great value for money

Visited this Cafe on 10th April.....ordered the proverbial Fish, chips & mushy peas. Whilst the waitress took our order quickly we waited at least 15mins for our coffees' & another 15mins for our food. The food itself was ok but nothing special.

We called in late afternoon and the small seating area was full. A kind family said they were going and we got their table. We noticed some people having pizza and fancied that, even though it's not on the cafe menu. No problem, a pizza menu appeared. A very helpful waitress, who we gathered is also part of the family...
