Went as we hadn't been for a while . My husband had the xmas dinner asked for extra veg as he doesn't eat potatoes. I hate to think how small the portion was if he hadn't ordered extra. As for mine the burger (had this before and mentioned it was dry ) thought I'd see if it had improved. Sadly... More

Went for a family meal on 07/11/15. The service was super, the food that wasn't fried was very good, but the fish, chips, poppadum all tasted as if they had been cooked in old fat and left an aftertaste in your mouth, wasn't overly impressed with the sauce on the mussel's, was a bit to runny

What not to like here? Delicious food and pleasant service at a good price. We ate in the bar on a busy bustling Tuesday evening which showed just how popular the inn is and there was nothing to fault. Well recommended.

Had heard rave reviews about this restaurant when we lived in Yorkshire. Now we live locally to Tayvallich, and turned up without a reservation for a family meal. Unfortunately, the restaurant was fully booked but we were able to make use of the full menu and eat in the bar. The bar was busy, and there was a pleasant, friendly... More

Called into this beautiful inn more out of curiosity than anything else..(and hunger too, of course!)...and we were most definitely NOT disappointed! With a teenager in tow we were thrilled to find out that the excellent value childrens meals were available for not so 'little' ones too. The food was delicious both children had very generous sized portions of fish... More

We have just returned from a short stay in Tayvallich and ate at the Inn on both nights. Delicious food, good company and cheerful, helpful staff made for a very enjoyable evening. The specials board held a good choice and the food was restaurant quality - delicious.

Once again this unassuming Inn didn't fail to impress us with the quality of the food presented. The fish course was topped by delicious desserts.

Ate there twice this week whilst on half term holiday with the family. Lovely specials board and food is better than normal pub grub. It has multiple Michelin commendations including 2015. However dishes can be hit or miss. Smoked salmon & prawn / Scallop pakora / Tempua squid starters yum. Thai curry / Moules Mariniere mains lovely...... But Salmon over... More

We found this by accident on our way to sea kayak around Jura and so our last meal on the mainland was haddock and chips and it was probably the best haddock and chips I've ever had. The restaurant setting is slightly formal but pleasant enough and the prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. We returned at... More
