Excellent food, good beer, cosy bar and nice outside seating. Cheerful welcome and good service. Only downside are the cars parked opposite which mar the view a little. Otherwise, worth visiting and exploring the local area.

We've been visiting Tayvallich Inn for over 30 years but gave it a miss for several years after a very indifferent meal about 5 years ago. Decided to give it another try in June and have visited 5 times since then. Maybe that one poor meal was an aberration because this year we have had nothing but great food and... More

Decided to try Tayvallich Inn after a week of eating seafood in various places in mid-Argyll. Quite simply the best, with excellent menu, welcoming service and sensible prices. Unable to get back the following day for a repeat meal but will undoubtedly return next year.

Visited 3 or 4 times in late September. Consistently good food and a decent pint. Never very busy. Beautiful setting.

The Tayvallich Inn remains a firm favourite in mid Argyll, well worth the trip from some distance away. Check out the seafood and the curry of the day, and taste the Loch Ness draught ale if you haven't met it before.

Many are happy to stop at Crinan and the Canal- which is stunning on a sunny day - but do take the road south to Tayvallich and Loch Sweden. A detour of delights both sea and shore ... And then the Inn, unpretentious and lochside concealing wonderful seafood with local scallops, perfectly seared, langoustines of the giant variety and lobsters... More

We have visited several times over the summer and have had consistently good food. There are outdoor tables with a view of the bay which are very popular on a sunny day. Equally there is plenty of seating indoors. The service has always been friendly and with a smile, even when busy. I would definitely recommend this pub.

After searching for places to eat whilst on holiday we came across this restaurant. We noticed some pictures of seafood platters which looked to good to miss. We did however notice that these weren't always on the menu so emailed to see if we could preorder them ahead of our trip. Danny the manager was quick to respond and was... More

After the disappointment of Loch Fyne Oyster Bar last night this was excellent -great food, good service and good value. Great location overlooking the bay and lively atmosphere with a nice mix of 'locals' and tourists
