Whilst staying on holiday in nearby Duror this restaurant was highly recommended. On the first visit we ate in the Captains Bar (less formal). I had mussels to start followed by salmon, both courses were absolutely beautiful. My husband had a main of fish and chips and was too full for a dessert. He is a fussy eater and they... More

We have never stayed at the hotel but we have eaten dinner here 5 times so far and every time the food and staff have been amazing. We thought with us being on holiday we should really be trying different places but decided we loved it here so much we came back every night! We love the views and the... More

We were recommended here for our first night in the area by our b&b owner. Both had 2 courses, which were nice (and we were hungry!) but not astonishingly great. Prices are ok for the area, everything is slightly expensive as it's obviously a tourist spot. Service was unobtrusive but helpful and friendly. Building itself is a nice old railway... More

We were recommended this restaurant by the owners of the lodge we were staying at. There was a money off voucher included. The restaurant itself is in need of a spring clean. The menu is quite varied and on first glance looks reasonable for the dishes on offer. I ordered scallops and venison, which I was expecting to be wowed... More

Had fillet steak here and it was fantastic. Lovely outdoor area over the loch with great views. Bit windy but you can't blame them for that?? Worth a visit if you're in the area.

We'd a lovely lunch at the Holly Tree (we'd previously enjoyed a wonderful seafood meal) - soup and sandwiches. The chowder was delicious. And then we enjoyed sitting on the old jetty gazing out over the beautiful loch. One day we'd love to stay at the Holly Tree.

We went as a family group to the Holly Tree for a meal to celebrate my uncle's 70th birthday. The food was excellent, ambience lovely and the staff very friendly and efficient. Our age range went from 18 months to 76 years old and they catered for all equally well. Lovely touch with all the waiting staff stopping to sing... More
