The food was edible when we finally got it but the portions were tiny. I ordered the Balmoral chicken. Apart from the Chicken breast on a bed of packet mashed potato the only other thing on my plate was 2 pieces of sliced carrot and 4 string beans. My hubby ordered the gammon and that wasn't any better. Chips were... More

Had a lovely meal last week in the Lime Kiln! Food was fresh, service was great even though it was quite busy, we were served by a lovely guy called Ian, couldn't do enough for us! Very warm and friendly manner! Pudding was the best part a large sharing bowl! Looking forward to my next visit already! Thanks guys!

Went with the wife and wains for dinner. The food was excellent value for money and the staff could not have been anymore friendlier or helpful. The kids love the tv at the table and so did we, as it kept them amused. Would recommend it and we'll definitely be back. Well done guys and gals keep up the good... More

Food is appalling. Fresh mash I would beg to differ tasted more like smash that was denied by staff. Never ever again

Had a family meal for the first time in this restaurant. The waiting staff were friendly and efficient. For a table of 8, we thought it may take some time for the meals to come out of the kitchen. This was not the case, not only were they fast at coming out, they were delicious! I've raved about the place... More

Waited for ages to be asked for drinks, then food arrived and baked potato had hardly any filling in it, complained only for waitress to want to keep arguing with us instead of trying to rectify the problem. Been here lots of times and had good meals but service lets it down massively.

Stood for 10 minutes behind another couple who had already been waiting 10 minutes. Place must have had about 5 other groups in it and the waiting staff did the old favourite of not making eye contact so's not to have to serve you. Gave up went elsewhere.

Went last night for dinner with 12 others for my sons birthday, and despite bad reviews not one of us was disappointed. We all had different starters, mains and desserts and yes may of had to wait a bit as they are understaffed but the food was pretty darned good. I had the rump steak and it was best I... More
