Underwhelming atmosphere, missed opportunity to fully take advantage of the location and increasing interest in dining out on Harris by locals and visitors Fantastic fresh local produce not in evidence on a very ordinary (disappointing) menu. Feels complacent but with a little more care and investment this could and should be the best restaurant in Lewis and Harris

I ordered 'the works' burger and chips. Reasonably priced, good service... but most importantly.... Awesome grub, seriously !

Food and service was excellent. And very good value for money. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

We dined at the restaurant while staying at the hotel. We were placed by the window overlooking the gardens. The Manager of the restaurant actively attended to customers and served at times. You can tell they care about the dining experience they are creating. Food was wonderful!

Apart from haviing a lot of stairs to reach bedrooms...this is a very good hotel in every way. We hope to return.

We have eaten very well in the Outer Hebrides, but the Harris Hotel was the jewel in the crown. The scallops!

Sensible size portions using good quality ingredients. very friendly but unobtrusive staff.

Had a sunday dinner in the hotel, only to find they dont do a Roast Dinner? I would say a lost opportunity ...but then maybe there is no demand for it?...Found the hotel very quite, could'nt hear the music...choice on the menu was very limited...quite expensive for what you get.

Lovely atmosphere in an older style hotel which suits it. Great for food or for stopping in for a nightcap!
