We visited the Harris Hotel on Sunday 3rd August in the hope of receiving a tasty sunday lunch. How wrong we were!!! We ordered the haggis neeps and tatties as a main meal size which we were assured by the waiter would be perfectly ok (as it normally only features on the starter menu). We also ordered the haddock goujons... More

Only a short walk from the ferry terminal and not as packed as those nearer by. Staff were friendly and service was swift. The menu had a good selection and all the food was delicious. Prices matched the standard. Unfortunately weather was not in our favour for eating outside but they have a number of outdoor tables with great views.

Probably the best risotto I've ever had in my life. We were camping down south and headed to Tarbert for some good food. GO HERE FOR LUNCH.

We checked the internet for the menu and found out that there were mussels available at 16,95 GBP. Booked a table via the internet and received an acknowledgement. Wen't there the next day. Menu was completely different as the one on the internet. Mussels only available as a starter. Q: Why is the wrong menu on the internet. A: Well,... More

We whiled away a very pleasant couple of hours here on Sunday lunchtime whilst waiting for the ferry back to Skye. The welcome was warm and our food was excellent, although on the pricey side. However, I'd rather pay a bit more and have good quality - and as others have said, the fact that it is open for lunch... More

The pub is a nice place to have drinks and meet the locals. I liked the food too, though it is pricey. One of the best things about the restaurant is that it's open on Sundays and has very good wifi, which is unusual on the Outer Hebrides. Will definitely come back when I'm in the area again.

Not cheap but exclusive enough to have to wait for a table. Food good and surroundings comfortable. Not for the frugal family.

Stopped off at the Harris Hotel for lunch on a Sunday afternoon when most places were closed. We arrived late and so were offered soup and sandwiches in the bar rather than the restaurant. They were really good sandwiches and the staff were helpful when we needed some info about local places.

A nice restaurant with a good, but maybe a bit pricey menu. The food was really nice, but you pay quite a lot for small portions. Had a nice salmon starter "served with brown bread". The brown bread was just ordinary pre-cut brown toast bread with a packet of butter. All in all a good "enough" meal but it didn't... More

We decided to go for a boat trip round Scalpay on a cold evening on Harris and needed warming up afterwards so went to the Harris Hotel for a medicinal warming up with vodka & martini rosso (my favourite central heating solution as 20 seconds after you drink some you start glowing inside). The meal however was the highlight, delicious... More
