THE BEST COFFEE IN MY LITTLE WORLD :-)

Our second visit to the wonderful Isle of Harris and its still the best coffee in my world. His Ristretto is a taste explosion, even with a new machine. The Barista makes the coffee wonderful if he/she has the right ingredients and they know what they are doing. Sadly due to family circumstances... read more

We'd actually stopped at another well known cafe on Harris but they didn't have any outside seating area and as we are two couples with two black Labs we were recommended First Fruits Tearoom in Tarbert. Wow! Bingo! We arrived just before closing but were warmly welcomed by the staff. It was a beautiful day so sat outside and ordered... More

The ferry to Skye was delayed so I wandered around and found this charming place. It made me glad the ferry was delayed! It's a place with character, a restored stone-built house. Interior decoration is great. Tables are made from old treadle sewing-machines with substantial wooden tops - very imaginative. There was a good selection of home baking even though... More

Was in Harris for a couple of weeks in September with my family. Dropped in here a couple of times for coffee/lunch/cake. Food is great, coffee was lovely if a little strong for my taste. The homemade cakes are great. Huge selection too. Service is also great, the chap who runs it puts a lot of effort into his business.... More

This is a lovely characterful tea room. I had tea and scone my hubby had a toastie both of which were perfect. The gentleman serving was really really friendly and all in all I cannot fault the place. My opinion is that sometimes when a place has no competition they tend to have a couldn't care less attitude with high... More

This place is filled with make-shift tables made out of treadle-sewing-machine wrought iron gizmos, wood slab tops, low ceilings, deep-set windows; it is an old croft house, I believe. The food and coffee are superb. However, I HAD to take photographs of the ladies' rm.--yellow walls, with antique furniture inside, Wm. Morris-type fabrics--GORGEOUS!!! I do not believe there have been... More

Situated in a little town where there aren't a lot of shops this pearl of a tea room offers the outstanding place for a break. Serves excellent coffee and tea plus delicious cakes, cookies, scones and flapjacks! Dont miss a chat with the owner,he's gery inspiring!

We nipped in here for lunch and to satisfy my wife's craving for a scone. The welcome was first class, the jacket potato did the job and the homemade cakes were awesome! I even had a couple of gluten free cake options to choose from :-)
