Ate here on a Saturday night @8pm. The food was nice. Far too quick! Our starers were out @5 mins after ordering and our mains practically arrived as we finished starters (I think about 20 mins after we arrived we had our mains). Had to ask them to give us a break to digest food. Friendly staff - good value

Best Lobster and crab I've ever tasted. Booking ahead of time is wise as the restaurant gets full starting at 6pm. Service is quick and excellent!

The small menu at the Restaurant at The Rosedale is split about evenly between seafood and non-seafood, though there are good options in all of the categories. We sampled both, and the seafood was better - the seafood (in our case, scallops and langoustines) was fresh and well-prepared. The steak was fine, but not as impressive as the seafood. There... Having been on Skye for a few days we were aware that lots of restaurants seemed to be closed for the winter so were happy to find that this one gave no hint of being closed and allowed us to book with no problems - received confirmation text and email. We booked a table online using directions from their website.... More

Dear sir/madam May I apologise for our mistake . We have been closed since mid October and as far as I was aware , our online booking system was offline and you should not have been able to make a booking with us . I understand it is too late now but if you happen to be back in Portree... More

Stopped in during a Sept. golf trip. Had a table by the front windows with a view of Portree Harbour. Meal was excellent and staff friendly and attentive. Would recommend the seafood and the sticky toffee.

We had a delightful romantic dinner overlooking the harbor. I had the langostinas and the plate was so full, I had to give half away. Order the appetizer size. The service, ambience, and food were pleasing, and we were lucky to get a harbor-side table by being early. It seemed to fill up, and they stopped taking reservations.. So, early... More

We were lucky enough to have a table by the window overlooking the harbor - lovely! Food was good, especially the sticky toffee pudding!! Very much enjoyed this restaurant and would go back again. Ask for a table by the window if you can!!

This restaurant was recommended by our guide on our 3 day Rabbies Isle of Skye tour. We made a reservation to eat early (right after opening) and were really glad we did, as we got a table at the second floor window, with a beautiful view of the harbour. Not only was the view outstanding, but so was the food.... More
