Everything sold here is a good 15% more than anywhere else on the island. Shop with local traders is my recommendation

Looking for something to do with two Granddaughters on a rainy day on Skye, we stopped at The Aros Centre as the sign boasted Exhibition. Gifts. Restaurant. I don't have the words to adequately describe this place! But I am going to try. Drab, depressing, tacky, fragmented, disorganised, fronted by bad mannered staff who would obviously rather be anywhere! other... More

Arrived early evening in Portree, we had dinner at the Aros Centre which was only a 5 minute walk from our accomodation, from entering the resturant we were given a choice of tables, we chose a window one, we were given a menu each and told about the specials that were on for that evening, we ordered our food and... Myself, mum and brother stopped at Aros for some dinner and a movie, looking forward to it very much. Firstly, the welcome was appalling. A very young, seemingly untrained man hovered behind the counter and didn't bother to greet us. We seated ourselves and had to ask for menus after a few minutes of being ignored. After that, we had... More

Stopped in for a cup of tea and a scone. Wasn't disappointed as the scones were fresh and tasty. Menu was typical pub or cafeteria, but the serving we saw coming out of the kitchen were huge. Great location with a great view of Loch Portree out the windows.

Came here three times during our stay. Staff fantastic and friendly. I wasn't keen on sauce advertised with my steak so waitress asked what I would prefer and after speaking to chef I was served my alternative. Can't ask for better service than that hence returning twice in one week. ThAnk you.

We were heading back to Glasgow so decided to stop at the Aros restaurant within the Aros visitor centre for a bite to eat, my niece ordered a spicy chicken and mozzarella melt panini, when it came it was covered with mushrooms, she does not eat mushrooms, there was very little chicken, very disappointing as it didn't say anything about... During a recent visit to the beautiful Isle of Skye, we called in to see the Sea Eagle Exhibition (rather expensive for what it was unless you are a RSPB member - £4.95/£2.50). There is a cinema there, a large touristy shop and an art exhibition. We had a meal in the large restaurant on two occasions and I would... More

Me and my 7 yr old daughter called in here to visit the Sea Eagle exhibition. Very informative and as we were the only ones in the exhibition the gentleman was able to give us his whole attention. They do not have any live webcam pictures at the minute but we enjoyed watching the archive footage. There is also a... More
