This small inauspicious fish restaurant is fast gaining nationwide recognition as one of the best and most exciting places to eat in Scotland. With a superb location & stunning sea views on the upper floor of the Calmac building on Tobermory pier, and their own fishing boat landing fresh local shellfish - its an experience not to be missed. Just turn up unannounced for lunch, but book in advance for dinner. Lots on offer for non fish eaters too.

This was the second occasion we have eaten at Cafe Fish. On our first visit last October my coquilles St Jacques were overdone but choice of venue is a little limited in Tobermory and we were keen to give it another try in view of good reports. The restaurant is intriguingly situated in what look like 1950s harbour front offices... More

We know a few people who have been here before and had recommended it to us.....we were not disappointed! Fantastic staff & atmosphere, we visited last night 13/4/15 which was our first night in Tobermory and I think we've spoiled ourselves now for the remainder of our stay! As for the food.....best meal I think I have ever had....we could... More

If you go to Tobemory don't go anywhere else.We ate on a cold March lunchtime but enjoyed great seafood and snappy service in snug surroundings. Its located above the ferry office with spectacular views out to sea and to be there for lunch on a warm summers day sitting outside would be very hard to beat.

My husband & I came here on our honeymoon and we loved it! The staff was incredibly friendly and upon finding out we were just married on the island gave us complimentary champagne! We loved our dinner and dessert was divine!

Cafe Fish is a busy place so phone ahead and book your spot! It sits perched on top of another building at the end of the harbour, jutting out towards the bay with a terrace all around. Inside, it's basic but comfortable, with wonderful smells coming from the kitchens. The menu is huge - not always a good sign, but... More

Wish I could give more than 5, this was just as being in heaven for seafood lovers like my brother and me. Best mix of fresh supplies from the sea. We spent 3 hours, enjoying every minutes - wonderful Chardonnay carefully picked by the staff made this visit a memorable success. We will do our utmost to come back here... More

Unpretentious, fabulously fresh locally caught seafood. This place is a wee gem, but you most probably will need to book. We started with sharing crab claws, mistake... We should have had a portion each as they were delicious! I then had the fish pie with cheesy mash topping, a huge big tasty hug of comfort food which hit all the... More
