Description: This small inauspicious fish restaurant is fast gaining nationwide...
This small inauspicious fish restaurant is fast gaining nationwide recognition as one of the best and most exciting places to eat in Scotland. With a superb location & stunning sea views on the upper floor of the Calmac building on Tobermory pier, and their own fishing boat landing fresh local shellfish - its an experience not to be missed. Just turn up unannounced for lunch, but book in advance for dinner. Lots on offer for non fish eaters too.

Icing on the Cake

Visited Mull last June and Tobermory was the icing on the cake especially when we lunched at Cafe Fish. Our Daughter professed not to like fish but her head was turned by the Thai Fish Stew and we were equally impressed by the Scallops. We spent two weeks in Scotland last June, 2014. One of our destinations was the Isle of Mull, a sparsely traveled land in the Western Hebrides. There in Tobermory, we journeyed to farmland and the Glengorm Castle to wander among newly-born lambs and Highland cattle. While on our way to the Scottish sea, we met up with three English cousins,... More

We were there with a party of five friends and the service and quality was excellent. The menu was full of great dishes and we tried quite a few. They really had a very creative array of fish dishes and all were very good. We loved the ambience and can honestly say the food was delicious. Of course you would... More

A beautiful fish restaurant overlooking the harbour at Tobermory. Run by young staff, with a flare for cooking fish and sea food. The food is superb and equal to Rick or Nathan's restaurants. An enjoyable experience.

Glad to have had a reservation in advance, because the place was extremely busy on a sunday evening. Probably the best food we had in Scotland.

This is a regular haunt when in Mull or Ardnamurchan, although the lack of evening ferries makes it only practical for a superb lunch. Even dish portions recognise that lunchtime is usually less of a heavy meal time; a rare, and very welcome recognition by the Restaurant. Located on the Calmac Jetty, close to the Kilchoan ferry, with seats both... More

Wonderful evening. 20th wedding anniversary. Food was amazing - some of the best fish we have ever eaten. Restaurant was packed on a Wednesday night which speaks for itself - booked in advance as every review said it was always busy. Staff very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Will be back.

A wonderful evening overlooking the beautiful harbour of Tobermory. The whole evening was excellent from the moment we walked in until we left.. We were looked after extremely well by the front of house staff and can't wait to go back. I would highly recommend the fish pie but then the mussels were excellent as well. Don't miss the opportunity... More
