Description: This small inauspicious fish restaurant is fast gaining nationwide...
This small inauspicious fish restaurant is fast gaining nationwide recognition as one of the best and most exciting places to eat in Scotland. With a superb location & stunning sea views on the upper floor of the Calmac building on Tobermory pier, and their own fishing boat landing fresh local shellfish - its an experience not to be missed. Just turn up unannounced for lunch, but book in advance for dinner. Lots on offer for non fish eaters too.

Amazing Seafood Restaurant

The restaurant owners also have their own fishboat which delivers fresh seafood to the dock in front every afternoon around 4 pm and it is on your plate at 6! A dinner reservation is a must. We were turned away the first night, but were able to get a table for the following night. No fish and... read more

Our lunch there was a very good experience -- excellent character and atmosphere, superb food -- fish and shellfish, of course! Service just a little slow, but the place was packed out. I'd recommend Cafe Fish to any foodie.

The Cafe Fish opens for lunch at 12noon, and unless you get there by 12noon (there is a no reservation policy), you will have to wait with envy while those who are in the know bag the tables and then suck, slurp, lick and eat slowly some of the best seafood on the Weat Coast of Scotland. The go to... More

Arrived lunchtime for table of 8, lovely table, very good service. Food all absolutely unbeatable and outstanding; not one minor fault or issue, total perfection with flawless service in a lovely friendly, informal cafe type setting with lovely views. Our 4yo had the smaller fish pie which we all tried and was exceptional, our 7yo had great fun with the... More

A huge choice on the menu, almost too much on the specials board. Portions are generous. All three of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. A lovely setting on a sunny evening.

Visited for lunch Weds 22nd July, genuine welcome and swift seating, great customer attitude & quick to take order and excellent food. We had the Seafood bisque and 'posh' Fish Finger sandwich, all excellent . Thanks to the staff and a free try of a 'squab lobster ' , a local brewed beer and a cider washed it all down... More

Really? Yes indeed. Local oysters are the best I have tasted. Lobster is wonderful. Other Scottish fish are prepared beautifully.

Lovely, laid back, friendly restaurant. The menu is extensive, with much more on the specials board. We watched the fresh scallops being unloaded from their boat. My husband had the seafood platter which he said was amazing and I had simple grilled sea bass which was really good. A must if you're in Tobermory.

Lots of confusion at the entrance because of customers looking for tables, thankfully we had booked. Had to wait 30 minutes for starters to arrive, which is unacceptable. Having said that the food was very good and the wine reasonably priced. Plenty of apologies about the wait. Apologies are easy and free however, it would have been nice to have... More
