Surprisingly good

Freshly caught and fried with really nice dry chips. Obviously good oil used for frying. A bit more expensive than usual fish supper but not extertionate

We were staying in Tobermory and had a raja way twice from here. Great selection of fish; never had a battered scallop before but they were fantastic and the best thing I ate in Tobermory.

Had a delicious fish supper twice when staying in Tobemory recently and both times was delicious - freshly cooked and chips as chip shop chips should be! Had haddock once and cod once - yummy!

Looks like it has become a bit of an institution in Tobermory. Everything is cooked to order so is piping hot. The fish and chips well worth tasting.

The haddock was ok but not great and nowhere near the standard I'm used to in Grimsby/Cleethorpes. Chips were probably frozen but were cooked ok and peas were fine. Perhaps I'll try the scallops and chips another time.

My wife had a small haddock and chips and I had chunky cod and chips. Quantity and quality perfect! And we then had the delight of a bagpipe/drum ensemble on the quay - nothing to do with the fish van but it made a lovely outdoor meal even better!

We would not normally eat take-away when we go on holiday, but this little caravan at Tobermory harbour came highly recommended. Apart from the normal 'haddock/cod and chips' type fare that you would expect, their menu also includes scallops, calamari, and seabream to name but a few. I noticed one reviewer complaining about frozen chips and small portions, but various... More

Really tasty fish (I had fish supper, can't remember which fish though), chips weren't that great. Sits right on the harbour so there's a great view.

We ate here twice. Fish was very good. Chips were, well, chips. The second time we got the fish without the chips. Still, food is good and you can't beat the location. Get the food, sit on the clock tower base and watch Tobermory go by.

Its hard to miss and the sight of fish & chips on a harbour wall is hard to resist! Its ok, not great and I am not certain but I think the chips are frozen and fried out of a bag, not sure why but NO curry sauce or gravy?????? Anyway if you want a quick fix then go ahead... More
