Lovely place for a drink after a long walk or boat trip!

We have been to McGochans many times in our visits to Mull and enjoy relaxing with a nice drink after a boat ride or walk. The staff are lovely and look after customers well. We did struggle to eat there as vegans, the menu has one vegetarian dish which contains cheese. But the soup of the day is... read more

The drinks were expensive and the food was very poor. I had Cullen skink, which had no fish in it and fish pie, which had a sauce which had very badly separated and a soggy puff pastry crust.

This is a really good place, situated at the end of the bay. It's cosy and has waiter service. The food was great and good value. It also has a very long whisky menu.

During a quick visit today we thought we'd like to have a bite to eat. Having been to Mull often I recommended we eat here. The bar was busy so I ordered drinks while my wife asked a nice lady if we could share her table, no problems. When she asked for the menu the waitress abruptly said "we're not... More

We were on a weeks holiday to Mull and decided to eat here as the menu board outside sounded amazing. However upon ordering our drinks we were advised that that was the summer menu and we could choose from their winter one. This was a massive disappointment to one of our guests as they were looking forward to the sea... More

After an early start and a ferry ride over we made it to Tobermory at midday. We decided to stop here for lunch before exploring. It was gorgeous. The service was great and the food was piping hot and tasted delicious, would recommend it to anyone who needs to recharge their batteries.

We visited for lunch yesterday, mainly because it was next to the bus stop where we were waiting to go back to the ferry. Surroundings were nice but other than that it was disappointing. The two people who ordered soup said it was lukewarm...I didn't expect my ham and cheese baguette to be swimming in mayonnaise, didn't mention Mayo on... More

We were staying at a nearby B&B and walked over to Macgochans for an evening meal. We each ordered Fish from the menu knowing that it came from local waters. Wow, the meal was big with the beautifully cooked fish hanging over the edge of the plates. There was enough for two people in each serve but we managed to... More

The first place we stopped after arriving on Mull and we were very pleased they were dog friendly. We were about to go and order some drinks when waitress came over and took the order. She came back a few minutes later and took the food order. No sign of the drinks... Still no drinks... One of the party went... More
