Good eats, friendly staff

We stayed in Fionnphort for three days and had dinner at the Keel Row each night since the only other restaurant in town was a bit too expensive for us. The food was quite good and had more variety than I expected, including a vegetarian Moroccan dish and a really tasty curry. It is a small... read more

We regularly eat at this small and straightforward restaurant. The food is a fairly fixed menu, but it is tasty and well prepared. Best to go for a drink and ask for a table which can then take an hour at busy times. They also do take-out. Good blend of locals and campers and tourists in the bar.

omg, you have got to eat here ! Seafood platters, and home cooked delicacies and other Scottish fare are as fresh as fresh can be. Really good value with friendly staff. Reserve a table and sit in the bar in anticipation, you will not be disappointed !

Considering the rather low brow look of the pub we were blown away by the high quality of the meal. Really fresh and tasty fresh food.. Better than most gastro pubs we have been too. The sea bream was beautifully cooked, subtle and delicious. Tiger prawns with salsa, absolutely yummy. The lemon pudding (sounds mundane .. It was not (but... More

Only place for dinner. Arrived 6.15, waited in bar until 7.30. Starter of scallops and rice was nice, well cooked. battered haddock was overcooked, batter was crispy but unseasoned so dish very bland. If staying ffionphort you will not go hungry but be ready to wait. Staff are very sweet and helpful. Nice outdoors area but being warm clothes because... More

Visited after very wet staffa trip. Staff offered to hang jackets to dry. Service good. I had a towering burger special which was a real tasty alternative to the fish id been eating all week. Unfortunately my partner had fish...not sure what kind of fish...haddock? doubt it, sole possibly, frozen rubber fish? probably! You get the idea. Very disapointing and... More

Faced by a wind driven barrage of rain, we nipped up to Fionnphort from Fidden campsite and took refuge in the Keel Row. Nice wee local pub with a Dining Room tagged on. Pleasant views from the Window seats and a cosy atmosphere. Food was good with excellent service. Not much else round here, so lucky that this place is... More

Didn't look very inviting from the outside, but not many alternatives on way back from Iona. Dreadful beer; crowded and tacky eating space; pretty average food. Would not visit again.

We ate two nights in a row. The specials are the best, had hand caught scallops and also mussels and beautiful fresh fish. First night we were there at 7 and did not eat till 830 but it is worth the wait. So our advice, get there about 6 and eat early, tables can't be booked.
