Ate here with the 3 children 2 out of the 3 nights we were here. Staff were friendly and the food was really good. Portions were large and I never managed to finish my main course. Kids always had room for desert though. Never had any issues with waiting for a table.

We went to this pub next to our bed and breakfast for dinner. We waited in the bar and got acquainted with customers, including one person who talked about his love for American football. In the attached restaurant we (four people) ordered a variety of dishes. All were served hot, beautifully prepared, and delicious. We highly recommend this place and... More

Visited the Keel Row several times whilst on holiday in Mull and Iona - I must say I certainly wasn't expecting to find such amazing food. The choice of specials on the wall, particularly the seafood dishes, are cooked to perfection - not to be missed. Regulars on the menu such as fish and chips are fresh and tasty too.... More

The lack of ability to book is disappointing, resulting in a wait of 30 mins or more if busy, for a table. That said, the meals are very well cooked and presented. Uncomplicated home cooking, with some very enjoyable choices. The bar is well stocked and beers are well kept. Staff are usually helpful and welcoming, and I have never... More

Lovely, friendly, informal but efficient restaurant next to its own small bar. We were warned there was no booking, so turned up before six - one evening there was a big party booked and so there were people waiting an hour or more at times, but the food was so good we took our chances the other five evenings of... Whilst waiting for the ferry to Iona we decided to get some food, The Keel Row was just about the only option. We all ordered the deluxe burger! It is huge, lovely beef, bacon, Brie, salad and a nice burger bun. Very unhealthy but tasty! Not gourmet food, but good pub snack food.

Not much competition nearby for The Keel Row but even if there was, they'd do fine. Some reviewers didn't like not being able to book in advance and having to wait for a table but this is a small place and they need to keep the customers coming into the restaurant steadily so I can quite understand why they do... We stayed at the Bed and Breakfast next door and ate at the Keel Row four times. The food was always fresh and hot and came very promptly. Standout menu items were the scampi and chips, Yorkshire pudding, cheese and meat appetizer, trout, crabmeat cocktail, and the best coleslaw I have ever tasted (really). We found the staff to be... The first night (of 4) that we ate here, I asked the group if we could eat there every night. Everyone agreed because the food and service was so good! Not the same menu every night either. Always new specials - had the best mushroom soup ever! Also, rhubarb ginger crumble for dessert. We were all ordering what one of... More

Pre drinks in the attached pub and then a lovely meal in the restaurant. Very friendly staff and our meals were delicious. As it is so popular, there could be a wait to get a table, so go in and put your name down and then go back into the pub for a drink.
