Great little local restaurant!

Great little local place right down the road from our B&B. Very nice staff and delicious food. Nothing fancy, but very enjoyable. Had good conversations with the locals in the bar area after dinner. Definitely recommend The Keel Row!

The rudest, most unwelcoming person I've ever had the misfortune to meet. Having eaten there the previous lunchtime with our friends and their small dog (when the barman wasn't working) we returned the following evening to be told "No Dogs in the restaurant" - 'that's OK, we'll eat in the bar again'... "No food in the bar" - 'but we... More

the wait for the restaurant was long (1 hour 40 minutes) because it is the only place to eat. The bar staff were ok but served the locals before acknowledging you, the food was lovely which made up for the service although the waitress was good.

Me and my mother were staying in the Seaview B&B next door and went to dinner in The Keel Row. It’s a very warm and pleasant place, with a nice decoration for the place it is, little cute details and good Scottish music (I think it probably was an old CD from Runrig). The food was very good and I... More

We couldn't book a table in advance so came here by chance. The restaurant was very busy and as we had to wait for a table, we had a drink in the entrance bar which was almost empty. Wine by the glass was limited to a choice of small bottles. We didn't have to wait long for a table and... More

We ended up on a rainy night, car broken, lousy day, but this place came up trumps. Entrance is through the pub, which might put some off, but persevere and you'll find an good inexpensive restaurant. Staff helpful and the lamb shanks from the specials board were exceptional. For a restaurant miles from nowhere, it was good. May need tarting... More

We visited Keel Row on a Saturday night and it was quite busy. The staff are very welcoming and the food was lovely, not fancy, but really good pub food and reasonably priced. I had read some negative reviews, but on our visit we only saw good things. Definitely worth a try, but note you are unable to book so... More
