We visited on a Saturday pm, no signage to the cafe, you have to know it is in the Woodland Centre and follow those signs. The tables were really not nice - sticky, covered in food and crumbs, as was the floor and chairs. The staff were not that busy but seemed to be avoiding actually entering the cafe area... More

A very pleasant little cafe, that does full breakfasts, lunches and has great coffee and home cooked cakes/scones. Can be part of a pleasant walk from the town or you can take the car! Either way its very much worth a visit, and has a great view of the town and harbour

Right below the castle, this cute cafe is the perfect spot for a bite to eat. A wide selection of food and friendly atmosphere! I would definitely recommend.

The family visited here recently whilst on holiday on a particularly wet and windy morning. The restaurant is beautiful, so many gorgeous ornaments and wood carvings you never stopped looking about and the art work upstairs was breathtaking. The staff were extremely pleasant and friendly and we had a lovely chat with one lady. The coffee was just what we... More

This place has got it just right especially for families. With lunch time options of baked potatoes, soups, pan inis, toasties, sandwiches all at a reasonable price. Follow that with a good range of cakes and it is all good value. Young staff try their best and are very pleasant. Free parking or just a short walk out of the... More

We loved going back to the Woodland Centre in the grounds of the amazing Lews Castle. It is a two storey facility and has toilets. They serve hot/cold beverages, basic meals, lots of homemade cakes and the usual snacks. Licensed. Very children friendly. It seems to be popular with locals and tourists alike. Wheelchair accessible, and in fact we noticed... More

We had coffee and cakes here a couple of times while on holiday in Stornoway and can highly recommend it. The location is ideal -within a park, near the harbour, and a few minutes walk from the town centre. The baking options are delicious and generously-sized. There is seating downstairs, upstairs and outside and ample parking is available. A small... More
