We always love to come here for lunch. Guaranteed to have freshly prepared good food. Nothing exotic just soups, sandwiches, baked potato etc. Fabulous surroundings, great for a long or a short walk.

I have regular business at Lews Castle College and this restaurant in its grounds is a real discovery. It provides a really good lunchtime menu in pleasant surroundings. On my most recent visit a few weeks ago, I chose a seafood salad. It was enticing with crisp fresh lettuce, and a superb range of fresh and smoked seafood produce, taking... More

Woodlands Centre in the grounds of Lews Castle is a popular meeting place for locals, and visitors too. Toasties, paninis, sandwiches at lunch, good home-made soup. Home baking, and full range of coffees, teas and hot choc. There are plenty of walks around the grounds, most used is the path along by coast, with good views of ferry arriving and departing. We tried all the paths, and got lost... More

Woodlands Center, great place to come for a lunch, coffee/tea/ etc. or if you need something a little stronger on a blustery Stornoway day, [it is a Licensed Café] here you can warm the cockles of your heart with the tipple of your choice while you sit and enjoy the scenic surroundings I met Maggie MacKenzie aka 'Fiona' [her character... It's unpretentious but you'll probably enjoy the freshness of the food, the views, and the ambience. They close quite early and don't do dinner.

The restaurant is set in the Lews Castle Grounds, across the Inner Harbour from the town centre of Stornoway. Food is good and with generous helpings.

We had a lovely lunch here today. The baguettes and pain is served with salad are delicious and just a nice sized portion. Service is friendly and efficient. I can imagine that it does get busy there during the summer as it was pretty full today for a sunny October Saturday! The castle grounds are a nice walk and lovely... More
