Great lunch, amazing price

My partner and I popped into the Thai Cafe for lunch during a visit to Stornoway, as we had a good experience the last time we were on the island and the reviews have continued to be positive. I'm pleased to report the restaurant did not disappoint again - fantastic curry with rice for just £5 per... read more

Whenever I used to visit Lewis the Thai Cafe was always my first stop, not any more. The quality of the food has declined to the point of me no longer wanting to even try it. This decline was over several weeks/months I kept hoping it was just a glitch and would get better, unfortunately it has not. I've also... More

Being tired of fish, we looked at Trip Advisor for restaurants in Stornoway. This little place was a couple of blocks from our hotel and hit the spot! The food was delicious, flavorful and plentiful. I enjoyed every bite of my Pad Thai. The restaurant does not have a liquor license but you can bring your own bottle of wine.... More

This café was recommended by my tour guide and we wanted to go there as a group. However the place was already booked so we thought lets try for take out. The food was delicious. The portions were large and great price too. Enjoyed the hot food(hot temperature wise) in cold weather.

My friends and I often go to the Thai cafe and have never had a bad meal yet! The food is delicious and plentiful. I recommend the paneng gai and the coconut rice as well as the chilli salmon. Delicious! Service can be slow but when you're relaxing with friends that's not a problem at all, it is nicer than... More

After a day of running about the island we found this place listed on trip adviser. We were not disappointed. They do not have the required permits to serve beer or wine but encourage you to carry in your own. Very nice menu to please most. Good service along with great meals.

This was one of the first places we ate when we arrived on holiday and it was exceptionally good value. We both enjoyed our meals and the service was very good and food arrived quickly too. I would recommend this restaraunt.

Three of us had a great meal here. The restaurant was busy but the service was still excellent. The food tasted great and was very affordable. We expected to pay corkage for our BYO wine but it didn't show up on the bill. Had a great night

The lady cutting my hair recommended the Thai Cafe and told us to take a bottle. (The coop is at the bottom of the street) Everything about this place is good, friendly service and brilliant food. It tastes like home cooking really fresh and characterful. Far better than any other Thai food I have had down south. The pork and... More

We were early to arrive but the staff welcomed us. We did have to wait a bit to be given a menu but they were preparing for the evening. We chose the set menu and the mixed starters were delicious and the mains were really tasty. But my favourite was the amazing jasmine sticky rice-I've never had such tasty rice... More
