Delicious food and cosy bar!

We decided to have a drink at the bar at Harbour Inn. Not a bad decision! Not a big bar, but easy to Get in touch with people and everything you need. After Some drinks, we got a table at the restaurant. I had the 4 course whisky Dinner, and it was incredible😊😊 Especially the cold cut meat, as... read more

After a lovely but long walk to Arbeg, we were more than ready for dinner. We were not disappointed. The staff in The Harbour Inn Bowmore are lovely and helpful. We had a fabulous meal, my companions managed to squeeze in dessert although I was beaten by my starter and main. Every course was Delicious. Cannot fault it. Thank you

The restaurant had just been refurbished in the Bowmore colours/tartan and looked very smart. Lovely sea view, posh menu/choice of food. Friendly local staff and a very decent wine list. Yes, the bar is small, but the main reason for coming to the restaurant is to enjoy a good quality meal. We visited twice during our short stay on Islay... More

Bowmore is a small town, however the largest on the Island. The Harbour Inn is one of a couple of options if you’re after a pint or bite to eat. On arrival, the bar (with seating for what I’d estimate of a max of 15 and little standing area) was quiet with just a couple of people seated at the... More

“A disappointing return” Reviewed 5 August 2015 Although some of the staff seemed to know what they were doing others seemed unsure. 6 of us ate and although the food was very tasty it was lacking in volume. The starters were a good portion and the lobster and lamb mains were very good. The other 4 had sea bream paella,... More

What an excellent way to start our holiday in Islay. After arriving and checking out the area, we dressed for dinner and arrived at the Harbour Inn. From the minute we walked in we were made to feel special. The food was amazing and the surroundings/staff were first class. Its not cheap, but when you want to treat yourself, this... More

We had a delicious three course meal here and a bottle of wine for 2 people the food, views and service were well worth the hundred pounds. A must try while in Islay.

Some of the best food we've ever had in the UK. Lobster, fish & chips, seafood dishes, steaks - it's all good. Lovely dining room with great views of the Bowmore bay. Be sure to reserve a table if you're there during high season. And stop in to the quaint bar before dinner for a "wee dram" - excellent choices,... More

When we asked what draught beer was on they said they were cleaning all the pipes - four lines, all at 12.30pm - seems like commercial suicide to me. The bottled beers were okay but kept on the bar and therefore too warm. Having waited ages just to get a drink we decided against ordering food. We were later told... More

This place looks nothing from the outside but we had a lovely lunch served by a very friendly waitress. Give it a try - you won't be disappointed.
