Nice little pub, had a few drinks here but did not eat at the hotel. Staff were very friendly and shared their experiences and history.

A quiet Thursday, not a lot of atmosphere, however a really nice meal including fresh Langoustines, and the best Gammon steaks I have ever had (local). Frozen chips seem a bit of a poor show for a place like this.Service was very good, the bar is a bit small, the chairs very uncomfortable. Also a great but expensive whisky selections.... More

In context - this is not a fine dining restaurant. It is guilty of many sins - paper napkins and condiments served in paper pots being big ones However, as a package I really loved this place. The restaurant is comfortable, with a beautiful view. The food is simple, and not over priced by comparison to many restaurants Bowmore. The... More

This was the only place in town that didn't look either ridiculously expensive or shabby and we were pleasantly surprised when we were shown inside to a light dining area with fine sea views. It's fairly standard pub grub and being on Islay it's not cheap but they served up a reasonable fish and chips pretty quickly although they were... More

If you are ever lucky enough to find yourself on Islay, you cannot go far wrong by popping in here for a cheeky dram and a bite to eat. It will not win any awards for decor but the staff are fantastic and very friendly , the whiskey selection is second to none and the food is good honest fare... More

All prices on an island are inevitably inflated so it is not appropriate to judge costs against what you would expect at home. Above all the food was OK, but not spectacular. To give you an idea of costs a bowl of langoustines was £20. No salad or vegetables to accompany this dish, or even bread. The steaks were a... More

There are many lovely restaurants on islay, this is not one of them. The food was terrible. Worst steak we have ever had. Service was ok, but still had to pay £20 each for a steak that was inedible. Such a shame, this used to be a good place to go.

We went here with no booking so could not complain about being seated in the bar. Food was good and service was friendly and pleasant. Local music was advertised to start at 2030 but did not start until one hour later, a bit disappointing. But would recommend the food, and would think that the restaurant would have a lot to...
