Good mussels but poor atmosphere

Very good views from the dining room but the décor and the atmosphere are shabby. The waitress was friendly but she wasn't smart in fact both the girls who were serving were sloppily dressed. Really there is no attention to detail here. However the mussels were cooked to perfection and the chips... read more

Very noisy hotel room due to a boiler running loud and loud music from the bands down in the bar up to your room. No our terrible wifi connection although they say the offer wifi. When you ask staff to help you out, some are friendly but all of them are coming up with excuses that make no sense. They... More

Walked out again after havin a beer on the terrace looking like the back lot of a closed supermarket. Food reportedly terrible - happy to believe that judging by the way the place looked and smelled.

Visited this location as saw on their web site that they had local Islay ales on tap. When we arrived we were told that they no longer served Islay Ales but we could have beer from Mull Brewery as the new owner comes from there. Strange though as we thought this was made in Oban!! Decided not to bother and... More

We have spent many an evening here in the past, and thoroughly enjoyed it - the view, the menu, the service, the atmosphere. That was when Duffy owned it. Yesterday I popped in to book a table for dinner, and the barman said it wasn't necessary as it was not busy. When we arrived for dinner the restaurant was full... More

The restaurant was pleasantly furnished with great view over the bay, staff were attentive. The food was of a good quality the starters were a little on the small side. The mains weren't over sized either to compensate, though as I said it was good quality

Visited here for dinner, we had scallops for starters. These were cooked perfectly and served with a simple salad. For mains I had the burger topped with bacon and cheese and accompanied with chips and the same type of salad as that came with the starter. 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 pints for £49. Good value and the staff... More

We should have thought twice about having dinner here after visiting yesterday for a pre dinner drink and finding out that they only had one white wine in the bar, so no choice. I had it and it was terrible, eventually I managed to get the barmans attention to give me a soda water to add to it to make... More
