Eat at any time of the day here. Great food, beautiful view.

Open all day for food, which is possibly the only one in the area to do so. We were back from a hike late and starved. Got in at 4pm and needed food. Had Steak and Ale pie and Haddock and chips. Service was excellent, food was very good. Sat with a view of the harbour and the wind tossing... read more

Lochside - just what it says. Beside the Loch, with uninterrupted seaviews. Decor a little worn, but comfortable - looks like it would be a great place for a party! Staff were friendly and chatty - food was decent enough (more pub grub than restaurant fayre) but reasonably priced. Lovely bar area, huge range of whiskys - yes, some are... More

The Lochside Inn offers good food and a stunning view over Loch Indaal. Especially the mussels and the fish & chips are to recommend.

We ended up at this restaurant because we could not get into the place we wanted to go. While the service and food was fine, it was not a place we'd highly recommend. The view was nice.

Great views of the bay from the bar restaurant tables in the conservatory. We arrived early when quiet; having asked if we could take one of the window tables until they required it (noting all had reserved signs but none were occupied); the response was ‘as long as we don’t make a mess’. As a Scot that lives in Australia,... More

We ate here on a rainy Sunday for lunch. At first we were a bit sceptical as at 2pm we were the only ones in the restaurant, but we need not have worried. Maybe people just eat later on Islay!? Anyway, it soon filled up. The lunch menu isnt high cuisine, but it was hearty food and large portions, well... More

Although some of the staff seemed to know what they were doing others seemed unsure. 6 of us ate and although the food was very tasty it was lacking in volume. The starters were a good portion and the lobster and lamb mains were very good. The other 4 had sea bream paella, the sea bream covered what paella there... More

While the service was very good and the food was tasty, the fish portion was very small. I also found the Islay beer a bit expensive at £4.80. Great view from the dining room.

Good food at fair price. Great view. Large range of single malt whiskey. Friendly service. Well worth a visit.
