Food is like mothers cooking as it was the presentation ( it's Not very Professional). Taste of Food was okay. The Furniture is old and we had to eat on sticky tables. The Outdoor Setting Area Needs urgently make-over

Was a bit wary after some dodgy reviews but everywhere else was full cos of the Whisky Festival. We had 2 double rooms (for the same price as single) yes they were a bit tatty but comfortable and all the linen was clean - lovely dining room overlooking the bay and the breakfasts were fairly good. Would probably stay again... More

We visited this hotel twice it has live entertainment and is a very busy location. We had a very good lunch on our first visit and found the staff to be very friendly. We returned at night for a live performance from Skerryvore who were fantastic

We arrived on Islay a bit damp, a bit lost, and hungry. As we were heading across the island to our first distillery tour, we spotted the Lochside Hotel and popped in to grab a bite to eat. I have to say that we were both really pleasantly surprised - my spicy pumpkin soup was warming and delicious, with a... More

While staying at the Bowmore Distillery we had dinner at the Lochside Hotel. My husband and I had the scallops which were cooked to perfection in a lovely sherry cream sauce. The chicken with bacon was tasty and plentiful with crisp hot fries. Beef pie was tender and flavorful with a rich gravy. The sides of veg were terrific especially... More

We went here for my husband's 40th birthday Sat night celebrations on a weekend whisky tasting trip to Islay. An impressive range of whiskies. Had afternoon drinks served by the lovely Eilidh then went back later as the place was so friendly. Had nice food then enjoyed the resident band who were kind enough to let me sing! Danced away... Had an evening meal here with friends and was not disappointed. Food was very good and plentiful. To be quite honest it was too much. The staff were friendly and attentive. Would recommend

When we entered the hotel all was nice we were seated for lunch then told the menu is on the board as they were changing the menu but there was a printed menu in the window which was different price to the board. We ordered the fish which was tasteless and very greasy there was no seasoning in the batter... More

I ate an evening meal here with colleagues after a brief business trip and we were delighted with all aspects of our visit. We had a wonderful view of the loch through panoramic windows and enjoyed a very relaxing meal accompanied by some excellent local whisky. The service was wonderful, the food was delicious and plentiful, and the value was... More
