The bar lunch with the trio of meats was a huge plate but disgusting. Tasteless meat, oversize Yorkshire pudding, etc. Won't be back.

I cannot believe this restaurant isn't number one on this site! My husband and I have are here for about 3 years and have never had anything but great service and even more amazing good! The tandoori chicken is better than any I've tried before and their pre theatre menu with wine included is great value for money! If you're... More

I have been lucky to have eaten in many excellent restaurants. Like for example Andrew Fairlies Gleneagles,Tom Kitchin Edinburgh and Eric Ripert Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman. Last Friday I discovered The Steayban in Strathaven and was blown away by the extent of the menu the quality of the food and the wonderful staff. Considering I only live 20 minutes away... More

We were at the Steayban last night for a family and friends dinner for my daughter's 18th birthday. We often go for lunch and dinner and the food is always exceptionally great and last night was as delicious as ever. I feel I absolutely need to feed back that the staff in the Steayban are fantastic. We were in the... More

Been to a lot of restaurants and must say this is one of the best meals I've ever had! I've happened to come across this restaurant by chance as was cruising through the countryside with my wife, didn't have a table booked but the young lady was so welcoming and ensured us that is was no problem at all to fit... This was our 3rd visit to the restaurant, the first two it was excellent, but today was a huge disappointment! The trio of beef for Sunday Lunch was awful! Tasteless meat & gravy, and dry tasteless Yorkshire Pudding!! Didn't even wait for pudding, as we had eaten enough bland food!! Won't be back!

We moved to Glassford 3 years ago completely oblivious to the local restaurant the Steayban and the village pub The Glassford Inn. . We are now regulars. We consistently experience an excellent standard of food and service and quite simply have never had a meal which falls below excellent. We frequently eat in the restaurant and the bar and the... The restaurant and adjoining bar (The Glassford Inn) never disappoint when it comes to food or service. Although we have eaten in the restaurant many times before (and been very impressed), this time we chose to eat in the bar. As it was a Saturday night, there was a special offer on for couples which, offering 2 courses and a... More

The presentation and taste of the food is exceptional. The atmosphere is very relaxing and you are never hurried. The best bit is the Sticky Toffee Pudding. Simply the best ever. My husband will not even taste anything else. Please do not ever take it off the menu as it would be simply devastating. Please also bring back the steak... More
