We joined colleagues for dinner and didn't know how lucky we were that they chose here. Reservations are required weeks in advance. The smells when you enter were fantastic! The chef clearly enjoys creating flavorful masterpieces centered around fresh produce and meats from the local farms and markets. The menu changes all the time. We enjoyed smoked duck and shrimp... Waking up the palate with the tomato gazpacho that has so many layers is a lovely touch, so put that option on the menu! It and the amazing strawberry sorbet was the best part of the meal. Avoid the bitter watermelon arugula salad and be aware of the topping on the redfish. While it was perfectly cooked with a crispy... More

My husband and I found this place 7 years ago on a short vacation to the area. We both remembered the food and service being fabulous so we searched it out and visited again last night. It was just as amazing as we remembered. I wish we were closer so we could visit regularly but I sure hope I don't... More

I'm often kind of hard on restaurants. The really good ones are usually expensive and snotty; the bad ones are, well, bad. Foothills Milling Company is extraordinarily good, and it's also totally unpretentious. It is also reasonably priced. My wife and I came on a Wednesday evening, and were seated promptly. We had a really nice bottle of chardonnay (half-price... More

We ate here during the very end of May for my birthday, and it is the best meal I have had in a VERY long time. Everything was top notch – the service, the food, the drinks, etc. We both had the "duck two ways," which was phenomenal; my boyfriend had the pulled pork spring rolls for an appetizer and... More

I had the tempura lobster and it was amazing. I've had it elsewhere, in cities on the coast. But this put them to shame. Wife had the oysters and wasn't impressed. The filet with peppercorn was great. The desserts were great, esp. the cobbler, but ask them to serve the ice cream on the side or it will all melt... More

We had heard about Foothills Milling from another couple at Rarity Bay and decided to visit. What a surprise to find such a great meal Maryville! The service is terrific, the food is special. We have now been there several times and consider it to be our local favorite. Treat yourself!

Nice restaurant for a good meal and quiet conversation. Excellent food but high prices for the area. I had the fried green tomato appetizer & the pork shoulder. Delicious!

Returned after almost a year and still amazing food and service. I tried the pork shoulder and shrimp tonight although it's hard for me not to eat their delicious plank grilled salmon. It didn't disappoint at all! Extremely flavorful and tender! We also shared fried green tomatoes which were yummy. For dessert we had the chocolate Creme brûlée with truffles... More
