VERY Good

Pleasantly surprised that the reviews were accurate for the great food here. The place is far off the beaten path and looks like a hole in the wall, but don't judge it by the appearance. My Cuban sandwich was outstanding, period, as was the black beans and rice that accompanied it. The only down... read more

Had heard about place from a friend and gave it a try. The young man behind the counter was very nice and answered our 1st visit questions and gave us his suggestions. He recommended the Cuban sandwich and wasn't disappointed. Portions are big and could have gotten a small combo and been fine. Will definitely be bavk

From Ybor City to to SF, and everywhere in between, I love to check eat Cuban food. Aroma Cafe is top-notch when it comes to fresh and tasty cuban dishes. Whether it's the traditional sandwich, marinated pork, plantains, or rice & beans, whatever you choose on the menu will be a great decision. Portions are generous, the staff is friendly,... More

The Aroma Cafe is not the kind of place you'd stop for based on looks, but once inside you realize why everyone raves about it. First the aroma draws you in just one whiff and you are hungry. If you crave a Cuban sandwich this is the place. The sandwiches come in 3 sizes, and the large is big enough... More

Unexpected find for us on the way to the mountains. We shared a Cuban sandwich, steak sandwich, beans and rice and fried plantains. All of it very good! Will be back!

My wife and I went here for lunch. It's a relatively small hidden gem. We both ordered the Cuban sandwich and thought it was great! Definitely like no ordinary sandwich shop type sandwich. The owner was very friendly and the restaurant was clean. I recommend giving it a try if you haven't already!

We love this little restaurant. The owners and staff are very nice, the food is great, and the portions are large. We usually split a large Cuban sandwich, which comes with beans and rice, and add a side order of fried plantains. Another favorite is the guava and cream cheese empanada. There is often a line out the door at... More

I had heard about this place from friends and decided to check it out. Wow! It is great. Really cool and authentic feeling place with great food and service. Very personable. You can tell the people there really care about the food and put their hearts into it. The guy at the counter took time to explain about the foods... More

Recently while on a motorcycle ride to "The dragon", looked ahead of time for a place to get a bite to eat and found aroma cafe. Checked the reviews, and was 5 star. I had to stop and try for myself. Was I glad I stopped. Had the large Cuban sandwich with red beans and rice. Can not go wrong... More
