What a lovely birthday celebration gift, an evening of ‘wine and dine’ at the Minishant from the family. The warm friendly reception received from this family run restaurant was fantastic. The food was excellent and extremely well presented. A big tick in the box from us, we will certainly be back. A big thank you to Mark & Ryan.

There aren't many restaurants in the area and you could easily drive past this one without giving it much thought - don't !! The service is first class, as is the quality of the food. We had a late lunch here and it was fantastic value for money. Highly recommended.

Booked in for Sunday lunch after having heard about it from friends. The service was excellent and the food well presented, hot and tasty. The restaurant was clean and comfortable and although we were the first diners to arrive, it soon filled up with other diners. One of my party had asked for a couple of changes to the dish... More

We visited here for a Sunday lunch after reading other reviews and we certainly weren't disappointed. A very warm, friendly greeting on arrival and we were seated quickly. Very attentive service to start with and drinks arrived promptly. The waitress knew the menu and was able to offer advice and I went with one her recommendations. The food was very... More

We had driven past the Minishant Restaurant a few times and liked the look of it and the little village of Minishant where it is situated. So, having looked it up on Tripadvisor and found encouraging reviews, we decided to give it a try. We had no reservation and when we arrived about 7.30 on a Tuesday night it was... More

Dined here a few weeks back as a larger party and as a small place they catered for us very well, service was fast and food was just as good as it always is! I had the trio of meats which is a lot of eating but it is so very tasty that you don't want to stop, will definitely... More

On a lovely Monday lunch time my friend and I arranged to meet here for lunch. The location is equidistance for both of us. Lovely wee place, not many tables so would advise booking. Met by welcoming staff who were ok with us chatting and not reading the menu! Very full menus with special two and three course deals along... More

Popped in without a booking, the place seemed busy but we where accommodated. Waiting was good, seemed to be a good mix of local and passing trade going by the dialects I was able to pick up on. Food itself was nicely presented, delicious. Question would I choose to eat here again? Yes! Would I recommend eating here to a... More

As per the title. Great food, great value and definitely great service. Dropped in on several occasions now for lunch on the road home. Always welcome, never had to book and never disappointed!
