Fresh, local produce

My husband & I had lunch here with my 3 children. We were seated near the window which had a great view of the harbour. The staff were friendly & patient with the children who were undecided on which seafood to choose. Between us, we tried the half lobster, langoustines, shrimps, prawns and the... read more

This is a small superb seafood restaurant in a modest looking brick building in the 'working' part of the Harbour. (Don't be put off by the appearance or locality; it is really excellent). The four of us all had three excellent courses. The fish is fresh and cooked to order, with many being 'the catch of the day'. One of... More

We go to this restaurant almost every month and it is by far the best seafood restaurant I've eaten in. Everything is perfect: the quality of the ingredients, the cooking, the staff, nice wine, great coffee, lovely atmosphere....the list goes on. My favourite restaurant in Scotland. I continue to recommend it to all my friends and family and have never... More

Fresh seafood cooked to order in a small, but perfect restaurant. Short menu supported by daily specials. Ingredients are fresh, fish and seafood probably caught earlier in the day, cooked to order. Sometimes it might mean that they run out of popular ingredients or you may have to wait a little while between courses. However, this doesn't matter as the... More

A very fine restaurant, well worth the walk to get there from the city center. The seafood particularly is excellent, the fish usually fresh from daily catch. The wine list is a little short but well-priced, and the service is both friendly and efficient. I go there every time I visit Troon and I've never had a disappointing time!

As the sun was shining we decided to take a trip to the coast for dinner (as you do) we were hoping to get into Scott's in the marina but they were fully booked so we went further along the harbour to the well hidden Oyster bar restaurant and we weren't disappointed. As it was early evening we were able... More

Didn't know it existed.....Introduced by friends. Had one of the BEST meals I have ever eaten in Britain. I had the Langoustines....cooked to absolute perfection and followed by the Hallibut....Again ...cooked to perfection. The rest of our party chose from the impressive Specials Board and no one was disappointed with their choice. Wine was delicious too ( had the Chenin... More

went here with friends - you have to know its there as the place is at the end of an industrial area of the port, past loads of wood stores - but well worth seeking out!! The fish is amazing, service good and a great lunch. The only slight lockup was the poor waiter failing to split the bill and... More

Visited the oyster bar last night for a meal. The food was some of the best I've eaten anywhere. Service was fantastic. Will go back next time I'm in Troon. Thank you folks
