Can't fault food and service in his restaurant. Treated to canapes while enjoying a pre meal drink in the lounge where our order was taken. Really good choice on both Table d'Hote and A La Carte menus. Ushered through to our table where we received a consommé courtesy of the chef. This was followed by a 3 course dinner before... More

With it being so quiet, why did the restaurant manager use the table very close to us and ruin our dining experience due to the people being very very loud.

Al la Carte menu is excellent, staff brilliant, food was fresh and interesting. Really very very good. It was like eating in somewhere like Guys Restaurant or Brian Maule's in Glasgow. The food is worth travelling for

As I was staying at the nearby Piersland and eating there the following night, wanted to try another highly rated Troon dining experience and I was not disappointed. Setting is lovely, staff superb and the food top notch. Wine list is compact but has some rare delights on and all in all this was a great experience. However, having read... More

The restaurant in this hotel, supervised by Andrew Costley the son of the owners, is excellent. The menus, staff and design of the restaurant make one feel very relaxed. When entering the hotel we recommend taking an aperitif before the log fire while perusing the menu and comprehensive wine list. The set menu is excellent value for money. We should... More

Went for my birthday lunch, which was brilliant and fantastic value for money. The wine prices were also very good. I had home smoked trout to start, beautiful I then had salmon, again beautiful. My partner had the terrine, then the cod with risotto, he said they were both excellent. We had 1 dessert and cheese and 2 bottles of... More

Going to Lochgreen for mothers day has become somewhat of a family tradition over the last decade of so (though we have not been for the last 2 or 3 years) and decided to go again this year with my wife, mother and grandmother. Fantastic settings just outside of Troon (not far from Prestwick either) and is just how I... More

I have just read the last review and I felt I had to share my experience. We were a party of 4 for lunch on Saturday 21st February. We decided to go for the 3 course lunch menu at £19.95 a head as the choice was lovely (very similar choice to the evening menu, but much less expensive). I had... More
