First time in Troon and we were looking for some where to stop for lunch when we spotted this great wee place. The sandwiches were freshly made and there was a good choice of fillings and there was also a large selection of cakes and tray bakes. Well priced and nice friendly staff. Only criticism would be that the toilets... More

There's not much that can go wrong with soup and a toasty. The mushroom soup was full of mushrooms. The toasty was crammed full of cheese and ham. Not much scrimping on ingredients here. The bonus is that it was all served with a cheery smile. Well worth a visit

Came here having driven most of the day and was fairly hungry. Looked nice enough from the outside and the young waitress was friendly enough. Ordered the 'BLT with Mayo' as I thought it would be fairly decent for £6 and it's pretty hard to stuff up. When my 'meal' arrived it was fairly apparent I had over-estimated the muppet... More

I should start by saying we have been here a couple of times before and the food is good but made the mistake of returning on a Saturday at lunch time. The Cafe was busy but there were empty tables that had not been cleared. After standing at a dirty table for five minutes, and then asking one of the... More

The girls were all busy as you entered the cafe, one of the girls told you she would clear a table for you after she had finished serving drinks to another table. You then immediately approached the counter where you were rude to another member of staff. I was made aware of the situation right away as I was in the... More

On a beautiful sunny September day, we decided to travel down to Troon. The day was enhanced by our visit to The Venice, where we had an excellent lunch. I had the pesto penne and chicken, while my husband had macaroni cheese with chicken, both meals had salad and garlic bread as standard. Absolutely delicious!! My husband finished with an... More

Had a nice lunch in here. Lovely food and friendly service. Would happily return. . Only fault is that there are too many tables for the size of restaurant.

We recently had a day out in Troon, Ayrshire and found The Venice Café. Been there a few times in the past when they had the restaurant upstairs also. Though the surroundings and furnishings that they have now on the ground floor are not as plush, the food and service is still as good, as is the Illy coffee. We... More

It's a shame the upstairs restaurant closed - this was one of the best places in town to eat. Small, friendly with a fantastic menu always expertly prepared. A real loss to the town. Not so keen on the cafe downstairs but the home baking is good to take away.
