I used to come here as a young boy and haven't been for a long time. I understand it has changed hands since then, but I can safely say it is eve better than in remember! Absolutely fantastic. Excellent customer service and staff very welcoming. Will be back very soon!

On a beautiful sunny September day, we decided to travel down to Troon. The day was enhanced by our visit to The Venice, where we had an excellent lunch. I had the pesto penne and chicken, while my husband had macaroni cheese with chicken, both meals had salad and garlic bread as standard. Absolutely delicious!! My husband finished with an... More

Had a nice lunch in here. Lovely food and friendly service. Would happily return. . Only fault is that there are too many tables for the size of restaurant.

We recently had a day out in Troon, Ayrshire and found The Venice Café. Been there a few times in the past when they had the restaurant upstairs also. Though the surroundings and furnishings that they have now on the ground floor are not as plush, the food and service is still as good, as is the Illy coffee. We... More

It's a shame the upstairs restaurant closed - this was one of the best places in town to eat. Small, friendly with a fantastic menu always expertly prepared. A real loss to the town. Not so keen on the cafe downstairs but the home baking is good to take away.

Went in for a coffee and some lunch as I liked the look of the place, looks like a proper cafe but also nice enough to take the family there. Food was of a high standard and the service was friendly, would highly recommend for a bite to eat.

I like to go to this cafe when I'm in Troon because the coffee (they use Illy) and ice cream are excellent. The other food is fair value but nothing special. The last time we were in we had scones which were nice but let down by cheap, gummy jam. However the girls who work here are always pleasant and... More

Called in here for a light lunch after visiting the shoe shop next door. The hearty broth was excellent, hot and tasty. My husband had the home made steak pie which he said was absolutely lovely, the meat was very tender and tasty. The coffee, illy, was as expected, very good. The service was very good, helpful, welcoming and polite.... More

On return from a family bereavement, we popped into The Venice cafe for a bite to eat before boarding our ferry back to Ireland. Myself, and my elderly parents were not even greeted by the person working behind the counter. There were no other customers in the cafe at the time. We found ourselves a comfortable table and looked through... More
