I ordered scampi thinking this was a meal but the chips were extra. The food was warm when it came and delicious but I don't think I would pay over £8 for a meal again here. There was a queue but once I ordered only took 15-20 min to get the food. Not a bad wait considering there were 12... More

There is always a queue but I can assure you its worth waiting for, a great takeaway after a fun filled day at the beach, there is a great selection of fresh fish and shell fish posh fish and chips at its best.

There may be queues but it is well worth the wait, there is nothing better than the fresh battered fish, and there is an amazing selection too. 5 star takeaway.

4/6 things we ordered were wrong. Also all meals supposedly come with chips, a few of ours didn't, also the wait was around an hour. On the other hand the food was nice and the mistakes are understandable as they were packed, which says something! Credit to the chef's but not to the other workers!

Alright, so there's a queue. But what a menu! And everything is cooked to order. None of that soggy batter and dried out fish. It's not cheap but worth every penny and the wait. And hey, you can also chat with the other punters. Go enjoy!

This place has something special about it. The choice of different fish and the quality of the food are second to none. The fact it's right at the harbour and looks quite rustic just adds to the charm. Sitting watching a seal bob around amongst the boats as you enjoy a monkfish supper is just breathtaking.

Simply one of the best fish and chips on the planet. From the ambiance of the location at the end of the pier surrounded by fishing boats to the perfectly crispy fresh fish it is comfort food nirvana at the Wee Hurrie! The portions are generous and you can watch as they prepare everything just a few feet from the... More

Poor experience right from the start! Queue out the door with no method of knowing which punter has been served as the serving area is rammed full of folk in no particular order. We waited over 20 mins to actually place an order and a further 45 to take the order away. £30 for 3 fish suppers and 3 cans... More

The food was fantastic. The fish was fresh and a great big portion. There's also a good variety of fish available - we tried some haddock, cod and sea bass. It was delicious. The batter was light and crunchy - it was a little greasy but I suspect that's because it isn't wrapped in newspaper. The chips were nice too... More

The most important thing was that the fish was really fresh, which is normal for chippies in coastal towns with a harbour. What is unusual, there is an wide choice of fish (cod, haddock, sole, monk fish, salmon, sea bass, scampi, frito misto, whiting) and other dishes like tempura, fish cakes, etc... The batter is nice and crispy, but gets... More
