Still got it

Its not often I have a notion for a fish supper and when I do its fair to say that the anticipation is usually better than the eating - I always feel quite miffed when I get a mediocre or average fish supper from somewhere well rated by others. Dog walking on Troon beach on a Friday gave me an... read more

We went to Troon with the grandkids and my dog just to spend the day at the beach. A friend of mine told me to try the wee hurrie for lunch. The fish supper was great, the fish was thick and white as can be and tasted great along with the best chips I have had. Their menu has so... More

We bought cod and haddock suppers and the batter was crisp and the fish tender and the best mushy peas I've tasted from a fish and chips take away and though busy we didn't have to wait too long.

After reading about this place and its good choice of food which is correct what I also read in national papers was true. The manners of the staff and the service was disgraceful. Never again. I think it has closed no wonder.

A little hidden from the main streets of Troon, but for those who venture down to the harbour area they are in for a treat. This place is always jam packed which in itself says a lot about the quality of the fish. Yes you may wait a little longer for your meal however it is well worth the wait.... More

Don't be put off by appearances. This small take away outlet at the end of the pier needs a bit of a tidy & clean. First impressions as a customer walking in are not great- especially given the price. Even the condiments need a wipe. But the big plus? Delicious fish & chips and efficient service. I had haddock supper-... More
