Old fashioned Fish Tea

If you are looking for somewhere to rest and have a good old fashioned fish tea, then this is the place to go. It can be very busy, but worth the wait.

We're down at Troon for a wee run and passed this wee cafe on way from the car, lovely smells stopped us in our tracks so we about turned and decided to go in for a roll and some tea. Was about half 12 and quiet, but they must have just opened as it very quickly filled up, Decided we'd... More

Staff always cheery and happy, food is always great amend tasty. Fritters and fish have always been decent sizes as well compared to nearby chip shop

I've been all over the country trying fish and chips and I must say that these are right up there with the best of them.

Absolutely superb food, service and value. You can take out or eat in. Can have breadcrumbs or batter on the fish which is fresh as a daisy.

Went with a friend for a fish tea at around 4pm on a saturday afternoon. Had been looking forward to it all day! When we arrived there were 2 people behind the counter, neither of which acknowledged us despite seeing us. We chose the table furtherest from the door as the door was wide open and the place was freezing... More

Great chips with a varied menu. Can sit in or takeaway. Ice cream isn't bad too! Only issue is supper portions are a little small for the price and when busy staff can sometimes appear a little overwhelmed and forget your order. Apart from that really good!

Good meal at reasonable price with good service & pleasant staff serving "chippy" type food freshly cooked.

A visit to the seaside would not be complete without enjoying a traditional fish supper with mushy peas! I'm not a fan of deep fried food but fish suppers are an exception, and you won't be disappointed with theirs. I personally prefer a 'special' fish in delicious crunchy breadcrumb coating but battered fish is excellent too.

Had fish tea, food ok but nothing special. Service efficient and friendly and restaurant clean and bright. Many people love this Chippie , so perhaps it's just me. Why not try it yourself and see!
