Very enjoyable experience

A delicious meal served in a wonderful location, we felt honoured guests as soon as we entered the hotel. The only slight comment would be that the portion size of Tamworth pork we chose as our main course was a little small.

The Torridon hotel has 2 restaurants: the 1887 and the Inn. We had dinner in 1887 and were quit pleased with the choice on the menu, albeit very traditional. Fresh local products, served with a smile. The restaurant is situated in what seems to be an annexe of the main house and lacks some charm.

We dined here in June 2015. They were running slightly behind with the food so we were offered complimentary drinks which was fine with us. Upon asking what gins they had to offer we were told "over forty!" This in itself was a result for us. The rest of the evening did not disappoint. The staff were most helpful, polite... More

We have eaten twice in this restaurant while staying in the amazing Torridon hotel. The most memorable dishes were the inspiring saviche and a wonderful sea Bass. The deserts, especially those that were called pre desserts, were fantastic. The variations on the grapefruit theme and the whisky parfait were great. Lovely dinners and wonderful, friendly, service.

I had read some good reviews about the restaurant and booked it, hoping it would be a culinary highlight of our Highlands Trip. It started off well, the waitress was welcoming and attentive. The pre dinner drinks were nicely served and the canapes arrived. We were given a fishburger each which was actually quite sizeable. There was no option but... More

This is the restaurant which is part of the hotel with the same name. The restaurant is well positioned in the hotel and we had dinner and breakfast. The service is excellent and provided by a group of enthusiastic young men and women from all over the world. The dinner menu is fixed price and has a choice for each... More

Sitting in the bay window of the lounge which has the feeling of a bygone era where we were given a a selection of sandwiches, scones and cakes with a choice of teas looking out onto the Torridon Hills on a beautiful sunny day with staff looking after our every need it was a very enjoyable afternoon.

The Torridon Hotel Restaurant offers posh food and service. Pre-dinner complimentary canapé was a unique version of haggis, 'neeps and tattoos. Dinner is a prix fixe menu with two offerings for each course. The started was a pureed broccoli aspic that reminded me of baby food. We had the lamb which was perfectly cooked, tender and lean. Dessert was a... More

My partner and I stayed at the Torridon last week for one night, and having read rave reviews about the restaurant, we also booked ourselves in for dinner, expecting the dining experience of the year. I should probably point out that we live in Guernsey and frequently visit London and are therefore used to being spoilt for dining choices, so... More
