First visit to the new restaurant. Really nice meal with friends, nice relaxed atmosphere. Loved the steaks, will definitely return. A lot more modern than the old restaurant in the pavilion.

On arrival our table was ready, the restaurant is modern and well presented. The waiting staff were very friendly and service was quick for our drinks order. We skipped starters and had main courses unfortunately some of the mains were a let down, both my mum and my daughter had fish risotto, the fish was terribly overcooked and there were no... More

Nice clean cosy atmoshere, sadly waited a long time for our drinks order to arrive, rare steak was cremated with a thick crust on both sides it was done rare to medium though but all i could taste was charcoal and wasnt very hot. The cranachan sundae was much to be desired, sadly though it was thrown together, consisting of... More

Beautiful food - really interesting choice of starters. Lovely bread. The service was very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Open all day so that you can have a really late lunch, or an early dinner, which we did as we were heading for a concert in the evening.

Popped into the Red Poppy without a booking and were lucky to get a table. Glorious fresh and tasty food. Great staff and great local produce and not too pricey. Was great and I wouldn't hesitate to return again.

Fantastic place to visit for lunch or dinner. The staff are lovely and friendly. The food is wonderful. It's nice to visit a place where there is more than one vegetarian option! The deep fried brie is my favourite! We will definitely be back!

Came here in March we had a lovely Sunday Lunch. A few of the starters were on the small side but with the quality of the food you couldnt really complain. One of the nices gravy's I have ever had and could have drank the stuff! The service was great with nice little touches at the end of the meal... More

Called here for a spot of lunch on a recent visit to the Highlands. It's a lovely, little place - nicely decorated and laid out. A pleasant welcome was received and staff were pretty attentive thereafter. We enjoyed our lunches though we felt the presentation could have been improved upon slightly ( after all, we eat with our eyes first)... More

My wife and I had a nice lunch at the Red Poppy. The Service was good and the food was very nice. However, why do so many restaurants think that everyone likes chips with skins, the smell of them puts me off. It would be so nice to have the choice of normal chips rather than just get a plate...
