Beautiful setting, friendly service, excellent coffee, wonderful cakes and a great menu for such a small place. Would highly recommended a visit here.

We stopped for a coffee, a bacon & egg roll, and a slice of cake, the coffee really is better than Costa, and the food was perfect, great atmosphere, beautiful view, and lovely staff, what more could you ask for?

We stopped by this little shop filled with local arts and crafts after having lunch in the Kishorn opposite. There is a good variety of paintings etc though a little expensive for us, but we did pick up some of Nannys Tablet to snack on. yummy!

Nipped in whilst on holiday for a freshly made banana milkshake and a sandwich, the staff were lovely and cheerful and the food was very good. The cafe was very clean and airy with some seats outside overlooking the loch.

We were a party of 9 staying in Sheildaig and we loved stopping by this great little loch-side cafe for coffee, tea and cakes. The brownies were the best we've tasted - and that's coming from a group who have eaten a fair few in our time! The coffee was good and strong and the tea is loose leaf and... More

Wow - stumbling across this place after a torrid 25 miles from Applecross was brilliant - a marvellous bacon, brie and cranberry toastie, a cappuccino to beat the hell out of Costa and a welcoming atmosphere - great service and a super location on the edge of the loch. I honestly hope you get enough trade to remain viable. Shieldaig... More

We and our friends from Scarborough were in June 2014 staying in Shieldaig. Our first morning there consisted of us taking a stroll along the Loch side, After only walking a short distance we came upon Nanny's coffee shop where we decided to have a cuppa. We had done some research into the area we were staying and we new... More

I never had the chance to visit Nanny's when it was the old tin shed but I have read all about it on the internet and that how it had to be demolished, it sounded just my sort of quirky place. The new Nanny's had been open just a couple of days prior to our recent visit and the staff... More

We couldn't wait to visit Nanny's again to soak up the special atmosphere. We parked the car and started searching the shore line. Walking this way and that wondering how we had missed it! Then we found Agnes who told us she used to work there and she told us the sad news! She impressed on us that it will... More

My wife and I have just revisited Shieldaig and although Nanny's Shop is not yet open it will be very shortly. The rebuilding looks to be going well - a modern looking shop will open soon. We are looking forward to seeing it open before our next visit.
