Called in here for tea one evening and my husband ordered the fish and chips. It was huge and exceptional. The fire was roaring nicely and the staff were friendly. Lovely place, will call again.

We hired a cabin cruiser from " Caley Cruisers ". After spending Fri 26th Sept at Drumnadrochit, we travelled to Fort Augustus for the Saturday night. After wondering about in the afternoon I decided that the Lock Inn looked the best option for my birthday meal with my wife and 3 kids. After hanging about for 20 mins we managed... More

A friendly atmosphere with great food right on the banks of the canal locks. Get there early if you want a table, because the place can fill up quick!

Stopped in here during my first-ever trip to Loch Ness (and first-ever trip to Scotland in general) back in November 2011. Delicious burger, and delightful service from Danny the bartender. Och aye!

very nice location and friendly atmosphere, the food was great, portions incredibly abundant. Only minor problems are prices, we spent 30 pounds for two main courses and two beers.

I almost walked past, thinking this was "just a pub," but the woman in the Post set me aright. I had a wonderful dinner of spring lamb with peas and potatoes.

We ate here on our last night and the pub was very welcoming and warm. Service was quick & efficient and food nice. I can particularly recommend the Haggis (surprisingly nice even the kids really liked it) and the steak & Ale pie. Including deserts for the kids and a Scotch we paid £78 for all so normal pub prices.... More

Wonderful food we were there on a Saturday night and it was very busy, but the food and service were superb. They were so good that we went back the next day for a repeat and once again it was faultless. This is a must if you are in the area.

Good food at a good price. Four for lunch, two had the fish and chips which were perfection. I had the the roast chicken with haggis and loved it. The cheese sandwich was a little disappointing with its plainness but I guess that is what some people are looking for in a cheese sandwich. The atmosphere in the pub was... More

Lovely fish and chips. Been coming here for 15 years for holidays. Always tasty. Simple but good pub menu. Kids meals excellent. Always a friendly smile especially for children. Best place at fort Augustus. Great in summer too. Get there early always busy.
