Food inexcusably overpriced. I'd have been happier with a microwave dinner than the 'steak' burger I ordered. Sides were no better. Service was ok, bar staff were helpful when requesting gluten-free options. Location good and would be nice when sitting outside. Food and atmosphere a real let down. Surprising when reading other reviews. Perhaps an off day... Probably not

We dropped in after a river boat cruise on Loch Ness based on reviews and were not let down. We had a great meal, freshly prepared, prompt service and good value - large portions. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. The smoked salmon sandwich is excellent as was the bacon, brie and Camembert sandwich and the soup of the day. The... More

Ate out here whilst staying in the Highland Club - staff were friendly & helpful. Food was fab - we ordered a steak burger / fish and chips and the Alba chicken - all three dishes were well presented, hot and tasty. Well worth a visit.

Lovely homely pub with a cracking open fire. We just went in for drinks and bought half a pint of guest ale (yella belly at the time), half a pint of tetleys smooth, bottle of tango and a glass of soda water. This came to just shy of £10 - with the soda water being charged at £2.50 for a... More

The food and overall pub is very good. The haddock and chips were very good and fresh. The only bad point was when we saw a chef drinking spirits behind the bar, this looks very unprofessional. Overall very good though.

The haggis here was amazing with a wonderful sauce and nice crispy side salad. It's the best haggis I've had in Scotland and would definitely recommend it. Other dishes were had and enjoyed by those accompanying me, although the cheese on the garlic bread was the only downside.

What a nice place, ideally located and very freindly .good food and they alow dogs which is a bonus. Lovely open fire was just what we needed after a bracing walk along the canal. And the food was great.

Loch Ness was a stopover during our tour of Scotland. It's a nice pub, good food with free Wi-Fi! I had the salmon entree. The ambience is warm too.
