Health/safety/hygiene????

Confusing ordering system. Self service coffee/tea machine...then you have to stand in the general mini market queue with your hot coffee to pay for it.....not a good idea when there are young children around. A member of staff handled my food with blue plastic gloves, then went to the tills and... read more

coffee break was ok but our little bit of shopping had some prices that would make Bill Gates s**t his pants. We expect things to be more expensive in smaller places but this was not good and cannot give a good impression to foreign tourists.

Thanks to the lack of customer service, we decided not to eat here. For a restaurant in such a tourist hot spot, I do not know why this place survives. The warning signs are there - sign on the front window detailing free parking for 15 minutes, £10 for every 15 mins thereafter. I know this is also a supermarket,... More

well how friendly and helpful are the staff in this little place. The lady was almost shopping for me she was so helpful and friendly, you can get most things in this place apart from meat which is sold by the butchers opposite but be aware not on a sunday.

Prior to going to this apparent nice looking restaurant, my wife and i had looked at the menu and thought we would try it, so we went about 7:45pm and didn't know that they stop serving food at 8pm. We sat down and order our food 10 minutes later it came out not looking like anything it said on the... More

Overpriced food with rude surly staff. There is a notice saying between the hours of 12.30 and 2.30 there is a minimum spend of £5.00 per person. Have not seen this before! The staff could turn the milk sour. Water metered in in loos as water dribbled from taps in both men and ladies loo!!!!!! Do not use the attached... More

Visited here for lunch and our family were not impressed at all, our food for want of a better word was obviously supplied by a frozen food company and reheated. Dishes were bland and uninspiring at best and not in anyway tasty or "home cooked " Staff appeared to just want to take your money with little or no interaction... More

Well I can only really say that the prices are extortionate and the staff are rude. However the location is excellent and especially on a sunny day which we never go being at the end of hurricane Bertha!

Went for coffee and cake 4 adults and 1 year old. The lady serving tea/coffee had a horrible manner with customers. Couldn't help watching her. Most people would take a seat/table then go order and pay. She shouted at anyone doing this insisting buy then sit. We were having coffee and cake when my 1 yr old suffered teething pain.... More

We dropped in without a reservation on a Monday night. It was a balmy scottish night and we sat over looking the river. The service was very friendly and food excellent, the portions were just the right size. Many thanks for a lovely evening.
