Helpful staff and relaxing atmosphere. A couple of disappointing menu items but generally very good. Lovely to sit in the lounge with a drink in front of the open fire.

We visited on Easter Saturday whilst on holiday and again were very impressed. Would give Glasgow/Edinburgh restaurants competition. Don't go if you expect the usual type menus we knew what it expect and it was delicious. Rated 4 due to what I thought was overpriced - £7.95 for a small kids main course. Otherwise good value.

Clearly a great chef. The food was superb and would highly recommend eating here, one of the best meals we had in our week in Scotland.

Friendly staff delivering an innovative and tasty menu in a beautiful old hotel. From start to finish the experience was excellent. We loved the parfait masquerading as a coconut or the apple mousse presented inside a bright green apple. Great fun and very tasty

Fort Augustus out of tourist season has very little choice of eating places, and on the day I visited for a business meeting this was the only one I could find that was open - so there was no choice to go anywhere else. For that reason I was ready to accept pretty much anything - so imagine my surprise... More

I would highly recommend the food here as the taste and presentation was perfection. I had the pork belly and I have never seen it presented in such a away. The starter of rabbit rillet was a pleasant surprise. However I tried the Japanese slipper cocktail, which turned out to be some bizarre bright queen liquid with crushed ice in... More

Thanks for review and comments on your experience in February – normally we offer an all-round experience but obviously slipped up on this occasion. Yes, the atmosphere in the Brasserie can be lacking in the quieter months so we have just added some uplighters to offer a warmer feel without the need for the centre lights. However we do need... we had a really excellent meal here; loved especially the mussels and the pork belly with black pudding layered in! Prices about the norm for this area and pleasant service so, all in all, highly recommended.
