Excellent food and service on both occasions I ate there. Enthusiatic staff (makes a nice change!). Complimented the waiter on the pesto and was brought another serving of bread and pesto - how nice is that! Venison braesola starter was delicious. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

I visited the restaurant with my husband for his birthday. I can honestly say that we weren't disappointed. The Homemade bread was still warm from the oven and the pesto was devine, the waiter explained everything that was in it. We shared haggis bon bons as a nibble. The highlight for me was the ox cheek as it was so... More

Great food, loved everything we had. Even went back a second night as liked it so much. Service was great too, lovely waiters & waitresses. Would strongly recommend it!

Love this restaurant. The menu choices are always a little bit different, using locally sourced or seasonal produce. Great tasting food presented really well. Would highly recommend it!

Beautiful grounds - had a lovely window seat. Food was gorgeous - beautiful flavours, perfectly balanced, loving presented. What was a little disappointing was that we had to wait a long time for a drink - bread and starter were on the table before the wine had arrived - had to ask for a wine list. Had to ask two... More

My husband and I had a fabulous dinner. The Lovat sits on top of a hill and overlooks the mountain ridges all around. Our dinner and service was a delight from start to finish: asparagus soup, beef shin, spring pea risotto, apple compote... Yum! All the servers were thoughtful and superbly professional. Only the brasserie was open when we were... More

This is a late review, based on notes. But this is also a restaurant I remember 8 months later because it was really, really good. The service was excellent, the wine list good, and the food memorable. HIghlights: smoked salmon rillette, lamb shoulder pot roast, and a *wonderful* sticky toffee pudding. All together one of our best meals in Scotland... More

Service from booking to bill was excellent. I booked a table for two after an online search for restaurants near Foyers. The fine dining menu is a Set Menu, but they accommodated my few food allergies and dislikes by creating a special variation of the canapes, entrees and fish course for me and I had my own printed version of...
