It was ok

We found ourselves in whisky paradise that's great if your a fan but I'm not. The food was good and plentiful but if I was to be honest your paying for the whisky lovers. Go a little further to the benleva hotel on the left it's cheaper and better. Would I go again only if the hotel burns down.

Over 600 bottles of the finest Scotch whiskies arranged alphabetically! And fine food. We ate here twice in three days. The salmon dishes are exceptionally good including the salmon and potato salad. But the best is to order triple tasting whisky drams and match them with your meals. Order highlands, speyside, islay, whatever, there are over 600 to choose from!

As we stayed at a gorgeous B&B close by we walked to Fiddler's and enjoyed the food as we as the cosy atmosphere. A very nice place to eat and drink and a short walk home in a quiet, peaceful village.

Had a table booked for 6pm, so arrived about 10 minutes before but they didn't open until 6 so had to wait outside. It was a beautiful evening so there were a lot of people waiting. We were seated quickly and the food and drinks order were taken quickly. The food was OK, but not inspiring, we were only half... More

I just went here again recently as I pass this way quite a lot on work. Had a driver this time so was able to enjoy a few of the drams. The guy that owns it is a bit of a mad character but he gave me and some other customers a free dram of some Speyburn whisky which was... More

We started by ordering the Venison Pate to share. This was really delicious, with such depth of flavor. It was truly wonderful. For my main course I ordered the Venison Stornoway which was a char-grilled very lean and wild, venison haunch steak (description on the menu). It was served with black pudding in a black pepper sauce and accompanied with... More

Went for lunch while traveling. Service was good. Food was great and whiskey was the best. I would recommend This place for lunch. Went to the cafe after to get a coffee and it was busy but I felt served quickly and staff was very nice

The first time I went to Fiddler's Rest about 4 years ago I was very impressed - the food was amazing and the service was great. Therefore, my expectations were high on our recent visit, but I was not quite as impressed this time. Still ok, but average - and we were not happy with service towards the end of... More

We did not visit the restaurant but the cafe next door. The business is in the super touristy Loch Ness area and what is a good looking restaurant has extended the service to have a cafe next door. But the cafe has no proper kitchen so the food is basic and the service abysmal. Then to cater for more people... More
