On a very wet saturday we took a drive to Muthill and came across Barley Bree, a restaurant with rooms. We had a beautiful lunch, very friendly and efficient staff, the menu had a good choice and the food was beautifully cooked and presented. Would definitely like to return for an evening dinner.

My Mum and i stayed here for 2 nights last weekend. I can find very little fault with the whole experience. The service was excellent throughout, really faultless, from the welcome, to the dinner and breakfast service. The room was lovely, very comfortable (VERY comfy bed!), quiet, warm, and well equipped. Breakfast both days was really good, very nice service... More

Excellent service right from booking to check out. Booked dinner with friends and an overnight stay. Easy to find in the village with ample parking. Small outdoor space with some seating for taking the air with a drink before dining or just for relaxing. Check in promptly and shown to room with services and facilities explained. Quality accommodation (Room 1)... More

The food here is innovative and interesting. Not everything works, but most dishes are excellent and beautifully presented with obviously fresh ingredients plus a lot of imagination. the decor is nouvelle rustique, very attractive. There is also excellent parking available at the back through the arch. Service was extremely friendly from the young ladies and the chef even showed my... More

This hidden treasure in the village of Muthill, near Crieff could be all too easily missed if you didn't know about it by reputation. I heard about it inadvertently through a Michelin star chef I know and figured that was as good a recommendation as I could hope for. The décor is simple, welcoming, relaxed and beautiful with a gorgeous... More

We read about this fantastic restaurant and are so glad we booked for lunch. We enjoyed beautifully prepared food with interesting ingredients, all cooked perfectly. We wish we had more time to visit again during our trip, and this was far better than even a Michelin star restaurant we tried in Edinburgh. Keep up the great work!

Delicious food. High class service and great range of interesting drinks. This place is a wonderful dining experience and does not disappoint. Is more pricey than the average restaurant but is a special place to visit and clearly is anything but average.

What a wonderful evening we had with my parents and sister. We were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. The staff were brilliant, the food was superb, and the whole evening a great success. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Visited again with family and can't fault anything. The food was superb, the service was first class and the restaurant so welcoming. I was facing the bar and watched the young lady serving inspect every glass before she prepared a drink, now that is dedication to good service.
