First impression of the downstairs cafe was stylishly cluttered, with odd bits of lifestyle and art decor giving it a busy feel. In reality, this converted watermill over three floors, with the cafe on the ground, a gallery on top and a surprisingly well stocked bookshop in the middle, cleverly uses its available space and mixes its modern and historic... Lovely coffee and homemade cakes served in this old mill and book shop / gallery. The team are all friendly and knowledgable so don't be afraid to ask. The location is lovely and the character of the building just adds to the overall ambience. Not a lot opens in Aberfeldy on a Sunday, so buy a book and a coffee... More

Excellent soup and sandwiches, served by a caring staff. What could be nicer! And all in one of the better bookshops I have ever been in.

What a great place. A lovely cafe on the ground floor of an old mill with a totally unique bookshop & art gallery on the two floors above. The ground & first floors have level access from the Street. Limited car parking to the rear. Lots of fact & fiction to be found in the bookshop with hard to find... More

Visiting Aberfeldy, we really looked forward to another fantastic bowl of homemade soup and one of the lovely cakes that we have enjoyed several times before. Sadly the three waitresses were unwilling to serve us despite the fact that we were sitting at a table directly in front of them at the counter. One did come and clear plates from a... More

My boyfriend and I visited late this afternoon after a beautiful drive around in the sunshine. We found the watermill randomly and the cafe presented itself over the balcony from the bookshop above. We own a cafe too so were intrigued. You guys really tick all the boxes! The design, the environment you have created, lovely staff and above all... More

This place is nearly perfect - wonderful bookstore with a great selection of books (I love a good bookstore) a cozy and warm atmosphere and then of course there is the food. We stopped in one day, but our wee one was not in the best of moods, so we decided to return the next day. We had a delicious... More

By dangerous I am referring to your wallet. You go to the most visually attractive building, the converted watermill, intending to only have a light lunch, but somehow, when you emerge much later, you will also be carrying several books. This is a wonderful independent bookshop. The displays are works of art and cover several rooms. It has been voted... More

We normally drive up to Queens View and come back via Aberfeldy for lunch. Lovely for a light lunch, cake and coffee (always busy when we have been there but we always get a table) and they have a good selection of books, a small selection of CD's with an exhibition area too. If you go out of the Mill... More

An old watermill turned into a bookstore and cafe, with few casual seatings, nice cake and good coffee. Simple but very pleasant place, especially for the environment and atmosphere although sandwiches looked very good. Planty of books to go through while having your coffee !
