Lovely place to eat - log fire, great food, friendly service, and it's in a book shop. What more could you ask for?
The last time I was in the Watermill in Aberfeldy it was a functioning watermill, but it's really changed. There's a well stocked book shop upstairs, with some great titles, whilst downstairs is a cosy tea/coffee shop. Some great teas on the menu (can highly recommend the Suki Mango Tango!) as well as lovely cakes...I will warn you though, the... More
After a brisk walk along the river we popped in to The Watermill for a light lunch. We had the most delicious broccoli & stilton soup served with lovely homemade bread. We also shared along a very tasty chicken sandwich. Definitely worth a visit!
Had a long wait on a not too comfortable chair for soup and a sandwich which was a little overpriced
amazing coffee, a bookstore that you lose hours in without noticing and great, knowledgeable staff. Mostly when i visit i have kids with me and there is a great corner of the cafe with toys and games that keep children entertained - from toddlers to older ones.
I was delighted to find this lovely wee bookshop hidden from view in Aberfeldy town centre. my friends and I browsed through their books for a few happy hours made our purchases and couldn't resist going back to the coffee shop for an afternoon tea and cake!! Lovely friendly staff who clearly enjoy their job, clean unpretentious comfy and you... More
It's hard for us not to stop at the watermill when we pass through Abverfeldy. It's got everything we want--a fantastic bookstore rich with local material, good lattes, and a nice variety of delicious sweets. The service here is top notch and even though the wait staff may be busy, they are always friendly. Be sure to check out the... More
The Watermill is a great wee spot for a coffee and a cake. They have speciality teas and coffee, along with proper homemade cakes. Service is good and the environment is perfect for a lazy morning or afternoon. The bookshop of which the cafe forms part is a refreshing change from the usual high street chains.
This is a very special place, a little haven of peace, lovely atmosphere, wood burning stove at the heart of it, relaxed yet efficient service, friendly staff, food well prepared, wholesome and unpretentious. Newspapers supplied, also surrounded by books, music well chosen, just brilliant!
Small but well varied stock of books and CDs on the upper floor; efficient and cheerful service downstairs downstairs. No dislikes.
