Visited Aberfeldy today with my Fairy loving daughter, wonderful day walking to the fairy forest & leaving ribbons on the trees. Followed by a visit to the rip off centre of the Scottish tourist industry. Would take a book to talk about the disgraceful prices on offer in this place. Stand out item, a set of 6 coasters depicting Westie/Scottish... More

This is a lovely place for materials and sewing accessories, with a good selection of sewing machines. Also it holds a good selection of knitting wools. After you have finished spending, or maybe not, there's a lovely area to sit and have a coffee and enjoy one of their chocolate cookies. Outside there is a good play area for the... More

We were looking for a coffee stop and just came upon Karelia House. Intrigued by the name we went in. A scone is a simple thing but too often I have been disappointed. Not at Karelia House. We had the fruit ones with raspberry jam, both delicious and reasonably priced. If you are passing by then do pop in, you... More

This was recommended to me by a friend I Kinloch Rannoch. I had asked about "where can I get some nice fabrics?" I had bought some rather plain linen and cotton dresses and wanted interesting fabrics to make pockets for them. It was a wonderful experience. This is a place where many people go to choose fabrics for quilting and... More

We stopped for a bowl of soup and were very pleased with the quality and quantity of the soup and the cheese scone offered with the soup . The surroundings are very pleasant and homely and anyone who has a crafting hobby will be very impressed with the goods on offer in the display area. Knitters and sewers will all... More

This is a lovely coffee shop in a beautiful setting. They also sell wool and craft materials, the assistants went the extra mile to help. Try the carrot cake, beautifully light. Plenty of parking
