We went for a long weekend in Aberfeldy and visit this place twice. Firstly for a quick pint - good atmosphere, helpful bar staff. Next night we decided to eat there. Food is good, much above average. Good Scottish fayre with a twist - I had haggis to start and kangaroo for my main meal! Staff had exceptionally high levels... More

We picked this based on the website which shows it off to its best advantage.....be prepared should you go there that it doesn't look much like the pictures.... Sadly we were a bit disappointed when we got there. The Black Watch is clearly trying to improve the quality of dining in Aberfeldy (which is sadly quite limited), and the food... More

We decided to eat at this restaurant as it was advertising a special beef or chicken dinner for 7.50 pounds, reasonable! The food was really good, for starters we had there soup of the day, broccoli and cheese and liver pate both were good. We both had the beef dinner, sliced beef, potatoes, broccoli and cauliflower. We finished dinner with... More

Had a meal here with my wife during a short stay, we both had the steak, washed down with a bottle of red wine. Cannot fault it at all, service was superb, great atmosphere, fantastic food and overall very good value for money.

Highly recommend this place if you are looking for excellent freshly cooked food. The specials board is also worth a look. Our wee boys 7&4 had no problem choosing something off the menu and devoured it. All the dishes are home cooked. I can recommend the fresh battered Haddock and the vegetable lasagna. Will definitely be back.

We decided to try here instead of eating at our hotel and what a great surprise it was. We had a lovely starter and main course, the staff are so happy and friendly and couldn't do enough for you even thou it was a busy Sunday evening. We tried the hotel the following night and wish we had just gone... More

Visited here for lunch on one day. Sadly the restaurant was very quiet but service and food were excellent. Returned for an evening meal - service was top notch. Was really impressed with little things such as waitress checking that glasses were clean before taking them to the table, staff acknowledging customers as they came in - even if they... More
