Very friendly meet and great, we ate in the garden at the rear of the restaurant which was a lovely setting and very peaceful. Extensive menu and wine list, we ate scallops and a salad for starters and haggis for our main with the cheese board for dessert. The food was very well presented, very tasty and good portions and... We discovered this gem of a restaurant. The night we ate there the waitress didn't show up for work so the cooks pulled double duty. The food and service were outstanding none the less.

Stopped off here for lunch based on previous reviews. On opening for lunch, the owner informed us that they were expecting a large party soon but that they would be happy to still take us. From the lunch menu, the French Onion soup was probably the best I have ever tasted and the BBQ pork ribs with accompanying sauce were... More

Beautifully decorated and the bike outside created a french look, but didnt see anything french on the menu. I had a locally produced steak which was delicious, but was disappointed as there was no sauce or greens - only fried baby potatoes. A basic meal and expensive.

Having not read any reviews of this place we had no particular expectations other than it's eponymous connection to France suggested the food would be above average. Well the reality far, far outstripped that! Both my starter and mains were truly delicious. Smoked salmon starter was served with capers and the most amazing horseradish sauce. A great flavour combination. For... More

Thank you for choosing to dine with us. We are glad you really enjoyed the food, surroundings and service. The team all work very hard to maintain standards in all areas. I take on board the menu may not be as descriptive as it could be, we try to make it as readable as possible and not too wordy!!! However... More

This intimate restaurant is a hidden gem. I've eaten here on numerous occasions on my visits to Aberfeldy and the incredibly high standards of cuisine, service and atmosphere never waver. The food is exceptional, whatever happens to be on the regularly-changing menu, and unlike most haute-cuisine restaurants the portions are generous. Highly recommended.

Hubby & I had "Gourmet Chicken Burger" last njght. Totally understated description of the fantastic meal we had. Beautifully cooked chicken breast in a brioche bun with mayo, bacon, huge mushroom, roasted red pepper, tomato & tarragon. Make sure you are hungry when you go! Only downfall was no room left for cheeseboard. Might just have to go back tonight... More

We happened upon this wonderful restaurant at lunch time. A lovely friendly welcome followed by a superb lunch. We chose from the lunch menu and can honestly say it was the food highlight of our holiday in Scotland, and we had some nice meals during our visit! We would love to return for an evening meal one day.

I went here with my husband, daughter and two small grand daughters. The food was delicious, 2 courses for £12 (or 3 for £15) The children's portions were amazing and great to see lovely food been offered to children that was not chicken nuggets fish fingers etc. It was presented to the 4 year old in a heart shaped bowl...
