We managed to make it for the very last evening service of the year before the winter shut down. Location is dramatic with superb views towards mainland Scotland. Specialising in seafood (but other options available) this restaurant has got it pretty much spot on. My seafood chowder was very good and my main of Salmon patties was just perfect. My... More

Having read lots about Skerries both online and in the visitors book at our cottage we wanted to visit them during our trip to Orkney. We were VERY lucky as we managed to get a lunch reservation on their last day of business before closing for the Winter. The staff were friendly, attentive & helpful. The food ... Wow! I... More

Last time we visited the new building wasn't open but the food was top notch. The weather was glorious when we visited that we ended up outside. Food was super and we enjoyed every dish, langoustine tails, sea food platter, fruit sorbot. Lovely service and views. Well worth a visit.

I say "appears" as we had just hot drinks there after a damp, misty visit to the Tomb of the Eagles. I had hot chocolate,... More

My niece hadn't been here before so decided to treat her to lunch. She loved it, as did I. Lunch was delicious and service was excellent. Lovely view too!

It would be worth visiting this restaurant for the stunning views of the cliffs and nearby islands alone. However you really don't have to as the food is amazing. The menu is fairly small but just about perfect. We visited 3 times in 2 weeks and between us sampled a fair selection. What to recommend? Everything. Starters, main course and... More
