We visited Skerries Bistro twice in one week- it was so good we decided to have a return visit. Fresh fish beautifully cooked and the wonderful views over the Pentland Firth made this a special place. Definitely recommended - especially the seafood chowder. Service good with a number of staff on hand providing food in a timely manner. We plan... More

We had a light lunch here after visiting the Tomb of the Eagles; the setting is really nice right at the coast edge and all very modern. The girls serving were pleasant and service good our only moan is that the prices of the mains were a bit on the dear side especially for the fish dishes which we presume... More

An excellent location and the glass walls of the dining area take advantage of the wonderful view out to sea. There is a wide menu focusing, as you might expect, on seafood. The desserts looked amazing so I had two starters instead of a main to make sure I’d have room! My meal of scallops, seafood platter and Orkney fudge... More

A lot of our guests have been for an evening meal and raved about it - having only managed along for tea and cake since the new bistro opened last year we thought it was high time to go for an evening meal. A lovely drive on a sunny evening! We were welcomed at the door and shown to our... More

A little off the beaten track (but aren't most places in Orkney?!), but well worth the drive. We ate in the main restaurant, and food was very enjoyable, atmosphere nice, service very friendly. Recommended

We searched out this bistro after looking at other TripAdvisor reviews. The food was amazing, the scallops were simply divine and all of our party enjoyed the amazingly fresh sea food. If we'd found The Skerries earlier on in our trip we would have been tempted with the tasting menu which you can have sat in the garden pod. Please... More

Very friendly staff, welcomed us at the door. Amazing views over the sea, delicious food, and an out of this world pudding list. The Orkney fudge cheese cake was just phenomenal. We were 4 adults a 4 year old and a 6 week old, and we were not made to feel awkward about the inevitable chaos that follows small bairns... More
