Excellent selection of North Sea fish and seafood with superb views of the sea. Very professional and very friendly staff, so much so that we went back a second time during our 6 day holiday on Orkney. Only about a mile away form the Tomb of the Eagles, ideal for dinner after a late afternoon visit there.

Well done Carole! Your new restaurant is outstanding. We loved coming to your previous venue, but this is stunning. We visited on 13 August; a table for four. Between us we had various starters, main courses and desserts. May I say that the food was delicious; so wonderful to have fish dishes cooked and served so beautifully; the accompanying salads... Lunchtime treat for mum & dad today at Skerries Bistro. Restaurant busy but the fantastic service we received from the waitresses meant we did not mind the wait. A meal out is a sum of location, food and importantly service. Those girls are a real asset. We will be back soon.

We're only in the area for a week and travelled there twice. Excellent seafood main meals but also able to have snacks and afternoon tea. Staff welcoming and efficient service. After you have eaten there is a chance to explore the cliffs and coast - a brilliant day out.

We all love sea food and were in heaven. Everything was excellent, so fresh and well presented. The service was prompt and pleasant with good selection of drinks and puddings. If you were not interested in fish or shell fish the choices are limited.

I'm so glad this place was recommended to us. The location is wonderful with stunning views. The evening we dined there a massive cruise ship passed on the Pentland Firth. We couldn't fault the food, it was delicious...especially the scallops and langoustines...oh and the sorbet was lush!! Definitely returning next time we're in Orkney.

Wonderful seafood in superb location on the edge of the world. We shared the seafood platter which was excellent with views of the Pentland Skerries beyond. The fascinating bonus is a tour of the Tomb of the Otters which you can crawl into and touch 3000BC tools. A wonderful place for a relaxed lunch and very informative visit for all... More

This restaurant is in a wonderful location in a beautifully light building. The views over the sea are exceptional. It was lovely that all the fish was fresh and caught locally. They were best scallops we'd ever tasted. The seafood salad was also very good. Friendly service we returned several times in the course of a fortnight's holiday.

The bistro is in a great location - with fantastic views of the Pentland Firth. The bistro car park had a mound in it - which was found to contain a Neolithic Tomb You can tour the tomb in the summer months - during the day : and what a visit it is ... although very different to The Tomb... More
