Found this place completely by accident out in the wilds in the pouring rain. Very attractive building, warm welcome, lovely Polish art student waitresses. Couldn't see the view because of all the rain. But that didn't matter - the food was absolutely divine. Completely delicious. And we enjoyed the talk and visiting the Tomb of the Otters too. What a... More

My first visit to Orkney was made all the more special by visiting this little gem. With views stretching out to the coastline of Scotland and gulls, gannets and seals a plenty. We were made to feel so welcome by the owner herself and our meal of scallops and crab was first class. Definitely coming back.

We had lunch during our recent trip to the northern Isles. What a find! The best food we ate in 8 weeks travelling in Scotland.Fresh seafood, wonderfull desserts and great coffee. The staff and owners are just lovely. The resident tour guide was unwell so we didn't get to see the burial chambers adjoin the restaurant. Well worth the scenic drive... More

11 of us had an exceptional lunch here before our ferry back to the mainland. A clean, modern and welcoming setting with panaromic views and really really good food (scallops, chowder, crab, panini, excellent coffee, orkney fudge cheesecake etc etc). Oh, and they happen to have a 5000 year old tomb in the carpark, What's not to love?!

Skerries Bistro has only been open since Easter this year and is about to close for the winter but make no mistake, this is a place that is about to become very well known and very busy. The view across the cliffs to the Skerries is simply amazing but the food is the star here. There is an outside pod... More

Went for Sunday lunch on a lovely sunny day.A great situation overlooking the Pentland Firth . The restaurant is bright and airy and not very many tables ,so would recommend you book to avoid disapointment. I had the scallops for starter and they were perfectly cooked , just melted in the mouth, a good variety of main courses and sweets.

We made a specific trip for lunch having been on previous visits as part of our holiday and wanted to see the new set up - we weren't disappointed ...! My wife had langoustines - enormous and delicious, I had freshly caught ( that morning !!) halibut - it was superb. Washed down with a nice glass of sauvignon blanc.... More
