lovely surroundings and excellent food

We arrived at the Mosset and the restaurant was packed, there was a real buzz about the place. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I'll be thinking of how delicious this food was for weeks. Whilst spending the afternoon in Forres, my mum and I stopped here for lunch and I'm so glad we did. For starters we had crispy haggis bon bons and chicken liver pate, both with onion chutney and were lovely. The mains were steak baguette which my mum loved and... More

Eating at ' The Mosset ' is always most enjoyable. A warm welcome awaits all customers, from both the owners and their friendly staff. The food is consistently superb, at very competitive prices. Service is first rate, no matter how busy the restaurant is. Consequently my wife and I are regular visitors and hope this will continue well into the future.

Nipped in for lunch, after walking the dog down the side of the mosset burn, and feeding the ducks. Plenty of parking spaces that you can put the car in the shade, to keep the dog cool when left in the car. Had a lovely tuna mayo sandwich with salad. Very big portions for less than £5 - so very... 4 of us dined at the Mosset Tavern on 7th February 2015. The dining area was very busy but the staff still had time to chat and took time to talk us through the menu. The food was first class as was the service. We will definitely be back.

Lovely range of home cooked food and bar meals for less formal dining. Prompt friendly service and cask ales available.

The three microscopic slices of cheesy garlic bread were pathetic , the cottage pie was void of taste , the steaks were tough , the diane sauce was like dishwater and supermarket wine was £6 a glass. £100 for 4 people , had far better at wetherspoons for £30.

Just had a delicious 3 course meal with my wife. Staff, ambience & food were superb. I had the 16oz T-Bone steak & it was to die for. Highly recommend.
