Lovely view. Blazing, very welcome fire on a old day. Not an especially wide ranging menu, several dishes had garlic which I do not like, never have it. A bit expensive in rather ordinary, plain decor and ambiance. A group of children were noisy and allowed to run around, adding to the not relaxing atmosphere. The lamb for the Sunday... More

We last visited in the summer and were pleasantly by the quality of the food, ok, this is a pub, but the view is incredible, the food is far superior to pub food, we got off the ferry yesterday and headed straight there, food again was excellent and the staff were great, go there, you won't be disappointed - thumbs... Newly done out. Food great. Ended up at the quiz, great to see so many locals. We won the quiz and didn't use a mobile for one question.Had to go back and spend the winnings. Worth every penny. Fish dishes, scrummy.

This is a great pub, with very good food. The fire gave it a cosy feel on the dull day that we visited. And the staff, also, were very welcoming. However, the highlight was the food. The menu had a good range, but I did not regret my choice of fish and chips. There was plenty of succulent white fish... More

The first time we went to the Drift Inn was by chance. We were planning to eat elsewhere that evening and only intended to grab a pint of Arran Blond and a packet of crisps. our attention was drawn to the specials board which had a mix of meat and fish. Mmm I fancied a bowl of fresh mussels and... More

We'd heard good things about the Drift Inn, but weren't prepared for the quality and experimentalism in the kitchen. Dishes are done just a little bit differently, with attention paid to combining good, locally-sourced ingredients in unusual ways. You can still have your rump of lamp or your fish pie, but they're presented differently - the lamb came with a... More

Cosy little pub with real fire and lovely views over to Holy Island. This was our second visit to the Drift Inn and we have enjoyed a great meal and good service both times.

The Drift Inn is much better having being renovated and I think possible new owners since our last visit a few years ago. The menu has changed dramatically slightly dearer now but the food has improved. We had a small lunch but the food was very nice and freshly made.

We had dinner here on a Saturday night. You can't reserve but we told the barman our names and within twenty minutes had a table. That wasn't a problem because we had a pint of the local Arran blonde beer (excellent). The pub was busy with lots of locals; young and old, including the local rugby team! However the atmosphere...
