Popped into The Drift Inn for lunch whilst visiting Arran on holiday last week. What a find! Cracking food and friendly staff who couldn't have been more helpful. Lovely selection of drinks and possibly the best restaurant view on the island. Excellent, definitely worth a visit if you're going to Arran

Very good food, nicely presented by cheerful and helpful staff, overlooking the Holy Isle - what's not to like! We had dinner here one evening, and tea/coffee another time. Although the place was very busy, service was prompt and the staff seemed genuinely helpful.

Impressive menu with plenty of seafood options, very good service and wonderful views out to Holy Island. Even a sandpit and other games for kids in the perfect outside seating area. Well worth a visit.

Doesn't look much from the outside. It is in a great position overlooking the bay. Option to sit outside in the garden or inside in the bar. A casual restuarant with a good choice of drinks. It has a menu full of choice including fresh sea food, caught locally. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Also great for people watching.... More

We arrived just after 6 looking for a table for 7 people. The staff swiftly pushed 2 tables together enabling us to have enjoy our meal. The place was busy and the staff did an great job of supplying us with delicious food and drinks.

My girlfriend and I arrived at the peak dinner rush on a Saturday evening. The place was packed. It seemed as if we would need to eat at one of the outdoor tables which, although beautifully situated overlooking the Holy Isle, would've meant shivering throughout our meal. One of the waiters was extremely sympathetic and made extra efforts to secure... More

good location, nice to sit outside with the view of holy isle whilst you ate. Food excellent and good sized portions. smallish in size so could get very busy very quickly but would recommend you try it. Good service and waiting staff polite and helpful.

Been coming to Arran for 10. Years and after getting off the boat we always head for the welcoming Drift Inn. We knew it had changed owners but did not expect such a huge change for the worse. The bar manager/owner made it clear he did not welcome those coming in for a drink and not eating. In previous 2... More

Thought we'd found a wee gem on our one night stay on Arran. How wrong we were. After a short wait outside we were shown to our table. It was very busy and to cut a long story short our order for 1 starter and 4 main meals was forgotten about. Either by the waiting staff or kitchen or both.... More

Arriving on a weekday at around 6;15 we were told a table for 5 would be half an hour. It proved longer but was not the staff's fault. We did get a fine sea view. Only one draught ale available. Extensive specials menu. We all ate well and had no need of the desert menu. When I asked for the... More
