Excellent venue with great views

We had excellent dinner and drinks at the Drift andwill certainly be back on our annual trip to Arran. The venison haunch served on haricot bean cassoulet was one of the best main courses we have had in a long time.

It was a wonderful experience dining or having a drink at the Drift Inn and it reminded me of sitting by the harbour at Watson's Bay in Sydney. M

Enjoyed a fantastic pub quiz and a couple of lovely meals too! The selection of Scottish Beers, Whiskies and Gins is also brilliant! Very helpful staff and very much looking forward to visiting next time we're over!

We visited the Drift Inn by recommendation on a recent visit to Arran. You can't book a table so in the busy season try and get there around 5 ish and get your name down. No problems with that. You can have a pint and enjoy the view while you wait. The food is just above pub grub and just... More

All very nice. They don't take reservations but managed to get a table straight away. Staff very good and friendly, food quality very good with a wide choice. Will return

The Drift Inn is a lovely boat themed pub with great views out to Holy Isle. We arrived in Lamlash on Easter Sunday and had not booked anywhere for dinner. Because everywhere was full and the Drift Inn didn't take bookings, we stayed there from 4pm until dinner time to ensure food!! We started with afternoon tea with a lovely... More

will not be back as no food available, even although advertised, a lot of people in the premises left, no way to run a business on an island that depends on it's tourism, should have gone to Auchrannie, will do in the future.

We entered the premises 12.05pm on Easter Sunday to an empty restaurant. Staff looked uninterested and unwelcoming. The chap behind the bar, licensee, was polite enough to help me select a beer and order some drinks. We then ordered some food which was nice (2 platters). The restaurant started to fill up. We ordered a glass of milk for our... More

We visited the Drift Inn during our stay at the Altachorvie Island Retreat. The pub was friendly, warm and inviting, particularly as they had a roaring open fire and it was a slightly unpleasant rainy evening! It is the first pub coming into Lamlash on the left turning, quite difficult to see from the road unless you're looking! We were... More

Didn't try the food (it looked very good and the menu was inviting, but we had arranged to eat at our hotel). Popped in for a quick drink before dinner and went back the next night. Lovely range of bottled Scottish craft beers and a knowledgeable and affable proprietor. Good range of spirits too, including over 50 gins and no... More
