Visited here early Saturday evening (12th April), we were the only people in the pub. There were three staff on, sitting around doing very little as you can imagine. Despite the staff being very friendly, they didnt have two of the mixers we asked for (cranberry juice or blackcurrent cordial) and the place does have an unpleasant odour also. I... More

Went here over the Bank Holiday weekend and glad we booked. This was a busy place, but food and service was prompt and efficient. We both had the Steak & Arran Ale Pie with short crust pastry, highly recommend as this was divine. Starters were good and service was excellent & friendly. Heard the current proprietors are moving on soon,... More

Excellent family run pub! Good food, great service and a lovely welcoming atmosphere. Sad that they won't be there next year when I visit the island again!

Lovely views. First impressions when we walked in weren't good - quite an old fashioned bar. The door to the better looking restaurant was open but we were told it was closed. The full menu was on offer however and we both ordered scampi in a basket. This was billed as a snack item and should have arrived with a... More

This is a budget restaurant so one doesn't expect fine dining but I did feel I had eaten the same food in a hundred pubs across Britain. It is cheap and cheerful and very average.

Arran means a lot to myself & my family. The island feels like home to us. My parents have photo's of them drinking & playing pool in the PHT when they were in their teens! The PHT is by far the best place to eat on the island. Warm welcome, friendly staff, lovely menu, reasonable prices, cosy restaurant. Myself &... More

Meals were excellent and reasonably priced. Very efficient and friendly staff. Went there on two nights out of the three we stayed on Arran.

Visited a couple of times when visiting Arran and have not been disappointed yet, portions bigger than your eyes. Lovely food to be enjoyed with family and friends.
