Had a great time in Arran at weekend. The hotel is lovely very friendly and food is great. The room is lovely just a bit dull for me and next time would prefer a sea view

Super friendly service as soon as you enter, this is a great wee place to come eat whether you are staying as a guest or visiting Arran somewhere else. It was so long ago we came here I can't remember exactly what we had, but I remember everything was fresh and delicious. I recall having haggis in one dish, seafood... More

We stopped off at the Douglas Bistro after our ferry was postponed. The menu was simple but lovely. The atmosphere was 'buzzy' and the staff very helpful and efficient. There are also rooms. It is very close to the ferry.

Had dinner here on the 4th July. Having just arrived on the Isle and choose this wonderful friendly and convenient place to eat. It is a short walk from the Glenartney where we were staying. Happy to recommend to everyone. Will visit again on my next Arran trip.

My wife and I enjoyed a lovely meal in The Douglas Hotel Bistro. A wide range of top class, locally sourced food on offer within the Arran Larder Menu + specials. Friendly staff in a lovely setting. Two courses for the two of us came to less than £40 which was quite good value. The food was very well cooked. The drinks were were average priced for Arran but slightly more expensive than the mainland. The only downside was that we had to seek out a membewr of staff to pay... More

Now this place could teach a fair few others how to do it properly. My slightly spiced tomatoe, sweetcorn, and rice soup was a delight. As was my 28 day steak. Cooked to perfection and very well presented on a very hot plate. Wifey went for a different starter, and main, and even stretched into having a desert. The service... More

Popped in for a quick bar meal whilst waiting on the next ferry. Food was absolutely gorgeous and happily adapted to accommodate vegetarian diet.

Just returned from a short break there, a party of 6 , and we have absolutely no complaints whatsoever . Rooms were great, good breakfast and excellent dinner. Drinks reasonably priced and it's in a great location, just at the ferry with some wonderful views over the water . Staff were all very attentive and very good

Have stayed many times now , never disappointed. Large rooms and huge bathrooms. Friendly service , great food , central location opposite pier for those visitors who do not bring a car. Perfect for couples and singles. Excellent value for money.
