I met Miss Mary years ago when I took my mother out to lunch. She was so proud of her restaurant and just loved to cook. I've been at the restaurant a great number of times. The food and service have always been very good. The kids employed as servers and in the gift shop are a delight, they are... more

We ate at the 1:00 PM lunch and felt as if we had the "leftovers" from the noon meal. The country ham pieces were just scraps and had no taste. The corn muffins were too small to even serve and the bowls were less than half full for a table of approximately 16 people. At the last minute 3 people... more

We were greeted very rudely by Jack Daniel's great great neice. She was our hostess as well. We were taken downstairs to what I would consider "slaves' quarters" and were told this is the nicest room in the whole house. The food was OK, but you had better "pass it around" as Ms. Tully wants you to or she will... more

I am still thinking of how to go back and visit Miss Mary Bobo's everytime I see the lovely old jar from their gift shop that now sits on my kitchen window ledge. When dinner bell is rung in the parlor, you have no idea of what awaits you and how wonderful a family- style meal can be. Just wait... more

We came to Miss Bobo's for lunch. We had a party of nine people for a one o'colck seating. When we were seated, the food was barely even warm. The ham looked like it was cooked last week, and the fried fish was so overcooked that it was flaky inside. We were told there was a variety of vegetables on... more

It's been a few years since I've been there -- but there was no shortage of food, offering the "tip" didn't concern me at all; and the food was delicious as well as the conversations around the table. We can eat separately - 365 days a year... why not enjoy the variety and quaintness of the meal and moments spent... more
