A wonderful little place full of charm and good food. Plenty to eat and a great way to meet others. You must try the apples with Uncle Jack.. As the county is a dry county but Miss Mary's manages to add a little something to the apples.

While having a "Twisted Sisters" getaway with my sisters and sisters-in-law, we made the trek to Lynchburg and had the best meal and experience of our trip at Miss Mary Bobo's Boarding House! The home and grounds are beautiful. We truly enjoyed the experience of sitting around a round table with our hostess and another family. The hostess gave us... More

The quaint setting and the home cooked food put Miss Mary over the top for us. You'll enjoy crispy fried chicken, pulled pork, biscuits and red beans so good you'll thing your grandma is in the kitchen. You'll eat in a dining room with a host who enjoys the food with you adding very interesting stories about the history of... More

Welcome to your Southern Grandmas home for lunch ! You must stop here for lunch if you are in the area. We had a wonderful experience. You do eat family style in a dining room setting with other people. Our group was led by a charming woman ( I wish I remembered her name) who was going to be visiting... More

It was a place that was recommended to me by co-worker. I am glad. We first did tbe Jack Daniels tour then drove down the road to Miss Marys. Paid for reservation and waited to be seated. Sat in the Roundtree room. Food was waiting on the table. Food was mainly southern dishes and they were excellent. Favorite was the... More

Awesome southern luncheon at Miss Mary Bobo's! Our hostess was great in telling us the history of the boarding house and the traditional dinners served family-style mid-day. Sat at a round table with the lazy susan so was impossible to miss trying everything. Food was so good, best meatloaf I have ever had. Highly recommend if you make it to... More

Miss Mary Bobo's mother would have been proud of the way the family style meals are run...Barbecued chicken, grits, cornbread, fried okra, marinated cucumber, baked apples and homemade pecan pie were all on the menu. served on a 'lazy Susan' and fresh from the kitchen. Our hostess was great about introducing everyone and getting the conversation going. What a great... More
